I was gasping "n000000000000000000oooooooooooooo" but then the only thing that made sense happened. How could they boot anyone on a night when they ask for money (albeit, a good cause) but 2 next week? Any guesses> I say Chris and Lakisha.

I will be voting for only Jordin next week. What they did tonite scared the hell out of me. I had that same feeling tonite as I did last year when Chris D got voted off. I did not vote for Jordin this week, thinking she wouldn't need it. Hope they did this to scare those who do not vote to get out and vote for her because I don't want to see Blake or Chris winning this. ( I want them both gone next week) All 3 women deserve to stay and Phil is by far the best of the guys. I will buy a CD of Jordin, Melinda, Lakisha and Phil but never Blake or Chris. ( I have bought Chris, Kelly's and Elliot's from last year and will get Bucky's and probably Paris' as well)

Someone at the taping said there was five minutes between the time they had Jordin as the last person and the time they told her she wasn't being eliminated. That would explain why she was upset.
I've probably said this before, but she needs to take more care of her voice. She has sounded rough in spots the last few weeks, but tonight she was bad. The last song she was terrible, which was all the worse for her because she led the song off and then Melinda sang right after her. I'm not sure what is going on with her but if they are going to have her sing what she's been singing, I hope they will tell her how to take care of herself before she permanently damages her voice. |

I just hate to see that again, because I think Ruben engendered quite a bit of negative reaction from many viewers (which probably helped cause his subpar record sales) because he was regularly outsung by at least two or three of the people who were in the final five and many people felt his win was rigged. Jordin has such a great voice with the right songs and with the right way to sing them. She was much better earlier this season when they weren't saying she was one of the best ever. I wish she could try to find that Jordin again. |

I felt bad for her. That was so mean making the poor girl think she's a goner, she IS just a kid. Those people are cruel.
She's the most marketable. She's pretty, she can sang and she's got a personality. Melinda is always perfect or damn near perfect but combine that with her "Aw Shucks, that applause if for little ol me??/no neck" personality and it becomes boring. Blake needs work but he's definitely marketable. I hope Jordin wins. |

Very mean what Idol did to Jordin. It was pretty obvious to most (internet fans) because Jordin was the TOP vote getter this week.
I notice Melinda was shaking her head in disgust at what TPTB did to Jordin when she was crying. |

I skipped Idol Gives Back but my Fox news said that Jordin/Chris were the bottom 2..is that true or were the results random? ..and that votes from this week carry over to next week and no one was elim.

I think she will be the winner this year. Probably her and Melinda will be the last two. As the rest of them drop off in the coming weeks, she'll get even more votes. She doesn't need to win the thing to have a big career. Melinda probably needs to win it.

Umm ... to the person who mentioned about how bad Jordin sounded last night. What in the hell did you expect???? The shock of what she went through - then to sing on top of that?!?! She could barely get her voice together.
And, by the way, most of the winners - after they've been announced the winner - go through an equally emotional adventure (albeit much happier) that they don't sound as good. Yes, Kelly, Reuben, Fantasia and Carrie all cracked in their winning songs (overcome with joy). And we know we've seen some emotional sucky loser performances (overcome with loss). But an up-and-down thing like that is traumatic for anyone. |
