I've never had a cavity. Never had braces! NEVER HAD ANYTHING MORE MAJOR THAN A TEETH CLEANING DONE!
When about 3 months ago my third set of molars decided to start trying to come through my fucking jaw. I wiki'd and googled to my hearts content. I was pretty pissed to find out that this set of molars even only exists because of cavemen and their ridiculous diet of chewy meat. Apparently they needed them. Well, guess what, this is 2009 and what the fuck, why haven't we devolved from this unnecessary set of teeth which we don't even use? Who the fuck knows.
Long story short, they started to grow in and cause me no pain. So I thought, well, okay, I'll just leave them there. Not breaking gum tissue, no pain, no discomfort...no problem. Fast forward to right now and I can't even close my mouth without pain. Both sides of my mouth are showing molar teeth breaking gum and they are clearly growing in crooked - and there isn't room. The skin around the newly broken teeth is white/red/puffy. It fucking hurts.
What does this extraction entail? Has anyone here run into this problem before? (I can only imagine yes). I have pretty good dental insurance so the cost is not necessarily the problem...it's me being a weak, scared, pussy little gae who has never even had a filling before that is the problem. Be honest. How much does this shit hurt? What's the recovery like? What's my akin to a chipmunk gonna be?
