Both my kids had the swine flu and are fine. Lots of people have - don't panic... and one of mine has asthma and mainly had a fever. We are not getting any
shots.

I got vaccinated last week. I wasn't going to at first. I'm working in post - op general surgery, so the amount of H1N1 I see is minimal (if not non
existent). But, I just quit, and I'm going to go to the ER with a trauma center, and figure since I'll be exposed to it more frequently, I had better
get it.

I ain't heard squat about any cases around these parts. So I ain't even thinking about it. Even if I did hear tell of such, I probably still
wouldn't get the shot. I've heard 30 stories to 1 along the lines of "I had it and no big deal" compared to "this poor schmuck got real
sick and/or died from it." I can think of six billion ways better to spend my time than hanging out in clinic for a couple hours with who knows how many
screaming kids that their fat, mexian mothers don't make behave.

Yeah, well, my kid really wants to be exempt from semester exams. and in order to do that, you cannot have more than like 5 absences. He's already got 2,
and if he were to get the flu, he'd likely be out 4-5 days, thus eliminating his exemptions.

My daughter got it on Saturday. I'd love to get it as I'm substituting and the kids are covered in nasty germs, but teachers can't get it till the
general public can.

My kid had it and is fine. I'm already immune from the last time it went around in the 70's
I just heard today that now there are 5 strains of flu and some of the regular flu strains are morphing into swine. |

I have NEVER gotten the flu shot.
I have also...never gotten the flu. Sigh I pity the fool. Voluntary exceptions would be people who work in hospitals and/or people in military who travel a lot. |
