Here' what I think is funny.. I belive I've only ever met one person from Rhode Island which is roughly 1300sq miles, and half of the East Coast is
populated by residents of Puerto Rico which is only 3500sq miles. Do Rhode Islanders ever leave home?

The population of the state is 1.05 million people. The state ranks 42nd by population. Wyoming is fewer than Rhode Island.

Rhode Island's role in what historians call the "American Civil War" was somewhat significant, especially given its diminutive stature
geographically. A David in the midst of the Goliath that is New England, if you will.
