Bummer that it looks like this lost tonight. Yet medical marijuana got like60 percent of the vote. Are there really that many people in Maine that would vote
to support medical marijuana and NOT to let gays marry? Or were they just going to the polls stoned and read the question wrong?

it went down if defeat...around 53% said no to gay marriage. Gay marriage has now been approved by vote in exactly 0 states.

Not really. There is no basis upon which an argument against gay marriage can be founded that is not, at its root, homophobic. Unless you're prepared to
completely remove the state from the institution of marriage, there is no reason it should not be open to all human beings.
