Arcing - Via James Barber's Insider transcription: "Mick - (Liz with a line through the Z): I feel terrible about
blindsiding you like this. This is strictly strategic, and that's it. We have a soft alliance over at Galu, and a lot of hinges on Natalie's
play. That's all this is about. Around camp, you've been amazing, your performance in competitions is top-notch. Please don't take this
personally. It's strategy."
Nat's gotta be the "unexpected master manipulator". Can you say 0 for Samao FatRuss? |

Are we going with the promo monkeys not watching the last episode? Cause Bad Russell told us then that Natalie was (successfully) working Laura. If she's
the manipulator, it shouldn't be unexpected.

The Galu Men Erik reveals his plan of getting the Galu men to the final four "It's like we have a few different leaves on the lawn. You see a couple leaves, and you go, 'We should rake the lawn.' A couple more leaves, we should rake the lawn. A couple more leaves, we should rake the lawn. Then all the sudden this huge windstorm comes in and *poof* there's leaves everywhere. Well, you'd better go get a damn rake. Basically, last night was that night. We had to get a damn rake. Russell left. We had a lot of things possibly pending, if, and, maybe, whenever. Now it's survival of the fittest. Russ is gone, we have no more options, we have concrete. There are 4 Galu men. We outnumber the women. Galu outnumber Foa Foa. If you do the math, there's no reason those 4 men should not be venturing into the final 4 together. Especially if we have Shambo up our sleeve. It's almost like a 5-man alliance, in the Galu tribe. There's no reason Foa Foa should even be considered competitors in this game anymore, and there's no reason the women of Galu should be considered competitors anymore. It should be all about those 4/5 Galu men."How about this from James Barber's transcription. Pride goeth before a fall. ----------------------- If Natalie ends up winning this season we'll have yet another season where the editors don't know how to show women unless they are a hectoring mom, a raging biatch, a sex kitten or America's sweetheart. The women from Galu were barely shown pre-merge. Danni's whole game in S11 ended up on the Insider. Yes, Russell is the puppetmaster and he should be shown in this game, but there are others on this show to we should at least see a little. Whatever happened to Brett? He had the first confessional and then disappeared. Have we ever had a man on Survivor this under-edited? |

If Nat is shown as a master manipulator maybe not Coach. At least I hope they show way more of her than they did with Danni. But this is looking awfully
S11ish with FatRuss playing the role of Stephame.

Didn't JP say something about a woman's alliance being a real possibility? Natalie could be part of that or even an instigator of it. For some reason
JP talked up Natalie early which seemed odd as she had no face time early on. If Mick is the winner, he's also been under shown. I think the S11 analogy is
a good one. The season is all about the person who lost, not the person who won. It's odd when you have these lopsided merges. Usually the majority tribe
pagongs the smaller tribe (and maybe the last survivor of the post-merge minority tribe ends up hanging on after a shakeup like Charlotte-SUK1 or Chris-S9 or
Danni-S11.) However, this season looks like last season where the minority somehow lasts the majority to take win the same. Jalapao saw all the Timbira's
on the Jury despite a 6-3 disadvantage. JP asked at Tribal Council, "How did this happen"? Not going to TC very much pre-merge means that the
intra-tribal politics of the larger tribe haven't sorted itself out yet. Therefore at the merge, the minority tribe who've solidified together out of
necessity is more able to pick up the bottom of the totem pole of the majority tribe. It's about time to have one of those reveal-the-pecking order
challenges.

Very true. With that being said, I think that a pecking order rang the alarm when Erik , Brett, Dave and John voted Shambo as leader against the wishes of the
three other chicks on Galu.
That was a HUGE, HUGE mistake. |
