I hate Judge Judy.
The other day she was berating a 17 year old because he hung out with 14 and 15 year olds. She was screaming about him needing to hang out with kids his own age. Does she not realize that they probably all go to high school together? God forbid you see an older student NOT treating the freshman like shit and scum beneath their feet. Yes the 17 year old was picking up 14/15 year olds to go to a party with him where he drank and crashed his car into his friend's house, which was wrong, but I was annoyed that she made such a big fucking stink that kids that were probably all in the same school were hanging out because there was a few years difference in age. I guess we can all approach her in public and scream in her face to go hang out with the corpses in the morgue, since she needs to hang out with people her age. |

^ watched the episode and yes, if you are 17 and hanging out with 14 years olds you have a problem. It is not normal for someone who is 17 to hang out with a
14 year old. It's not like a 31 and 34 year old hanging out. The span from 14 to 17 is huge.

I guess I'm a freak or lived in bizarro world because it wasn't all that out of the ordinary for different grades to mingle where I went to school.
I hanged out with seniors when I was a freshman.. and when I was a senior had some friends that were 2 - 3 years younger than me  Nothing sinister, just we
had a lot in common and lived near each other. No one would be caught dead hanging with a loser cheerleader though.

I can't imagine hanging out with freshmen when I was a senior. I worked with a coulpe freshmen at the movie theater (shhh...don't tell. Child labor
laws annat), and sometimes passed them in the halls, but that's it. The cafeteria was segregated by grade, although there was some bleedover if a lower
classman was invited by someone older to sit with the older kids. A senior would have never sat at the freshman (or even junior) tables, though.

It all sounds so high school! Our school had freshman and sophomores on another campus across town from the juniors and seniors so unless you were in sports or
band or government you had little interaction with the other grades.

You could just tell Judy hated her. I loved it. But the teenager who hit the kid on the bike? I don't think she should have dismissed their claim so fast. Fat mom should have at least been liable for their deductible. Bratty bike kid should have had his ass home. I don't care how many times he's had to run to the store alone for mom's candy bars... |
