The idol franchise has never been about finding the best technical singer. It's not about crowning the person with the most octave range or who can hold the longest glory note. What most people fail to see is that this show is NEVER about the vocals (there are university fine arts department entry exams/auditions for that) but it is about finding the newest artist that appeals to the general public. AI is not Vocal Masterclass 101. If that's the case then, you're watching this show for the wrong reasons. And Jessica was completely shitty during Toronto rounds. I don't know what show you've been watching but she sounded so strained and forced this season.

I do want the winner to be someone with actual vocal talent (aka not Mark Gay) but I don't need or care for it to be someone who has the best lung capacity or can hit the highest note or sing some Mariah Carey type loud ass belting shit. I want to be a good singer but also an appealing singer. Jessica is a talented singer but she is not at all appealing as an artist or even a human being to me. She's not going to be the next sensation who people are going to rush out to the store and buy her CD or turn up her single on the radio. Oh and yeah she totally fucking blew chunks in Toronto. Zack and Jake are right to not care for the bitch despite what her range may be.
