I call decoy. The real power in Foa belongs to the the Mick-Liz-Jaison alliance. Nat and Russ will make the merge since Ashley's clearly going to be
targeted before them, but I don't see them slipping through the cracks post-merge to make final tribal.

That. What they need to do is realize that if someone is going to be INV, it means that the editors can't handle the cast numbers. Either reduce the
numbers or cast better people-PERIOD.

I'm getting more of an Exile Alliance vibe from the Russell-Natalie thing. I don't think Russell is going to make it much past the merge. He's
physically strong/good at challenges (classic post-merge boot for good reason), and people see that he is slippery (thus unpredictable and not good to have
around). I think the Russell-Natalie thing is a red herring to have an excuse for more Russell air time and make it look significant.

I'm sure this has been mentioned before, and I'm not claiming it has any relevence but something I just found interesting...
Did anyone notice at tribal council when Ashley was voted out the camera essentially kept panning back and forth to Natalie & Russell. Russell of course had his shit-eating grin across his face the whole time. Natalie on the other hand had a more empathetic sincere sadness look on her face. I just found it interesting considering the episode before(it may have been a secret scene I dont remember) where Russell tells Natalie she is going to have to start voting out her friends. She can't be sympathetic and pity people thus not voting them out. Regardless of relationships she has to do what has to be done. Like I said I doubt it means anything, I just found it kind of interesting. |

Russell of course had his shit-eating grin across his face the whole time. Natalie on the other hand had a more empathetic sincere sadness look on her face. They did the exact same thing with Todd and Amanda in China. When someone was voted off Todd always had an evil grin and Amanda always had her signature doe-eye, sympathetic face. I thought for sure it meant that the jury would rip Todd to shreads and give the money to good girl Amanda. But we all saw how that turned out.... |

This past episode had a lot to do with adversity and hope, between the storms and the sunshine, the challenge and the vote. Russell H spoke of how Foa
Foa's spirits were still high, but one scene especially stood out to me. As the tribe prepared to vote someone out, a demoralized Jaison lays in the
shelter wondering if any of the Foa Foa members have any chance of making it far in the game anymore, which then cut to Natalie's close-up and response:
"I think we can. I think we can.." |

I was going to mention the SAME exact thing.
It was just a close up of her face saying "I think we can" in response to Jaison wondering if a Foa Foa'n could make it far. I thought it was very interesting. Maybe it's just wishful thinking but zomg I hope it was a *moment.* |

So is this like all those Amanda "moments" that people were convinced meant something?

It stood out to me too
And "this"? Is wishful thinking. Although at the same time, if Natalie did end up winning I would probably have a stroke posting about the almost comically sexist editing (were there any women at tonights tribal council because I didn't notice?). |

There was a lot of foreshadowing in this episode. In addition to Natalie's comment, there were several about Shambo switching sides after a merge. So I
think they are very obviously setting up a post-merge switch in which Shambo joins the Foa Foa survivors to create the dominant alliance in the merged tribe.
Even at TC, I found myself thinking that EPMB decided to have neither tribe vote anyone out just to protect Shambo. |

I definitely felt a lot of the foreshadowing as far as Foa Foa making a comeback. The fact that Erik came off as kind of a douche always laughing and rolling
his eyes was telling (victim of their comeback?). But Natalie winning seems almost impossible, even despite her confessional about making friends while Russell
H gets on people's nerves. She's just too invisible, and every time the vote happens all we ever see of her is her doing what Russell H says.
I'm leaning towards Russell H winning, because even though Mick is still an option, I feel like they'd spend more time on him considering he's a bland alpha male and the editors love those. |

I like Erik, but he was running his mouth a lot at TC last night. It could be a "pride goeth before the Fall" kind of thing. If the remnants of Foa
Foa are able to form a post-merge alliance, Eric would be a logical first boot -- after a merge, the first thing you want to do is eliminate all the stronger
men who pose a challenge threat.
Given the preview last night of Russell making an alliance with Laura, I can also see the Galu women siding with Foa Foa to boot some of the Galu men -- especially if they succeed in booting Monica (or even if the women figure out that the men are planning to boot Monica). And I'll quibble with calling Mick an alpha male. He's young, handsome and fit, but that doesn't make him an alpha male. Alpha males are natural leaders, and Mick is anything but that. In fact, Foa Foa's biggest problem (esp, in the challenges) seems to be that they don't have anyone willing to step up and be a field marshall. |

This clip is almost certainly prophetic, but I just get the sense that it's a sign of Natalie's success. (Even though her win is 'edgically
impossible.')
