As I dont follow anything that human being has done, I'll take your words that the number is higher. As for the final numbers this week: 1 NORAH JONES 417,738 2 KATHARINE MCPHEE RCA/RMG 113,531 3 DAUGHTRY RCA/RMG 76,911 Neither Taylor nor Kellie appear in the top 50. These positions should hold when Billboard announces tomorrow.

Wow, look at that hotness dripped in mediocre sales. Maybe she can mug at D-list events like she has to keep in the public eye but she isn't one who is going to sale a lot of records. It's a good thing that the record buying public speaks louder than bitter and delusional fanatics.

Taylor, Chris, and most other Idols had the benefit of the holiday season to boost their CD sales; I highly doubt they would have sold as much if they were released in January. Katharine's CD was released in a month that is known for being worse for sales, so I think her first week sales are good if not excellent. I think she could go platinum since her album is full of potential singles.

A lot fewer people go into music stores/shop online in the two months after Christmas than in the two months before. The week Dreamgirls hit #1 it recorded the lowest weekly sales for a #1 CD since Soundscan started charting sales in the early '90s and that happened in January.

That's why RIAA doesn't use them for certification purposes.

And Chris is on the radio constantly here in New England. He has received a ton of radioplay, so I don't know what you are talking about there either. And he has a video, so there is a lot of exposure for those who may not have known him from AI, or who were more passive fans who may not have known his album was out until they heard the song on the radio or saw the video.

Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	You are making it sound like he's getting the "Premiscious" & "irreplaceable" airplay, when it isn't even as close. Is he getting decent airplay? yes. However, none that is like top 10 or anything. Also, him waiting for a single to be released for so long, will affect his sales no matter how good or bad it does. His album isn't exactly on the front shelves of stores like it use to be 2 months back.
