Or they could just do what they did in Gabon. Pre-merge individual IC and then both tribes going to TC.

Obviously, they've done that before. Jeff is saying they've thought of something new.

I think that 2x ICs- if you lose both you vote out two people- is definitely the most fair way to do it.
And although Jeff doesn't mention it- the switch to an F3 finale eliminated the need for a double boot in an 18-person season. (Yes, Gabon had one anyway, but that's because they decided to do a recap on thanksgiving instead of a regular episode..)

Or a Post Merge Double Tribal Council.

Or to add/subtract a TC to last nights debacle.

They could even hold a quick IC before the vote to allow someone else to win II. That would also allow for little change to the course of things if there are medvacs. If there are medvacs, then just cancel the extra vote at TC, no canceling challenges or other major changes to schedule along the way. I like it, that is a great idea. Double vote at TC post merge. |

Eh, the second vote would just be extremely predictable in a twist like that.

I was thinking something like basing it on how bad you lost - if it was close you lose one person, if it was a blowout you have to vote two. Or, especially in
seasons where they have an explicit leader, if there were some sort of doubling option, like backgammon.

On the merge 1st Tribal council, the 2 people who will receive the most votes will both go. Both alliances for sure will lose a person.

Again, a double vote or a vote to eliminate 2 post-merge seems like the most likely idea.
There are a few permutations that could be exciting. Not telling the group that they will have back to back TCs (a'la fast forward Big Brother shows) and vote out 2 people. They would have to play for another individual immunity idol or have one person protected for 2 votes. Or tell the group that there will be 2 people going home on one vote, prior to the TC. The 2 top vote getters, go home, but this might get too complex. You would have to strategize to get rid of the person you want sent home. But that person will be voting on the way out, so you have to play a very protected game for yourself. And how would a HII be played? |

I'd like to see an IC where the last person finished is booted out.
Make it a combination physical/mental challenge where it is every person for his or herself. Whoever finishes last is booted. It doesn't mattered if it is pre or post merge. A combination challenge of physical and mental would take away the advantage of the stronger physical players and the stronger mental players. lol Can you imagine the scrambling if it is pre-merge. Sitting out your weakest link won't do you a bit of good, nor would trying to put your weakest physical link in a non-physical spot help either. Also, absolutely no help from your teammates. it's sink or swim on you own. I'd like to see just how hard some people would try if they knew without a doubt that their ass was on the line if they didn't try that hard. I hate those IC's after merge when the cocky ones just sit out and eat while everyone else is busting ass to stay in. If that's done pre-merge then they have the tribal IC the next day, or right after the individual one that the last player finished is booted from.

I don't like that idea at all. The only way the person who tried the least hard would be the guaranteed boot would be if everyone was 100% equal with their
challenge abilities, which of course is not the case. I guess if you're one of those people who thinks Survivor is all about the challenges it would be a
great idea, though.

Yea, I would really hate that "First one out of the challenge is gone" type dealio.
I really think the best and fairest way to deal with doube eliminations is the one most people have already said - two Immunity Challenges and two Tribal Councils in one episode. Of course if the same tribe loses both IC's then they would just vote two people out at one Tribal Council. |

How about a combined RC/IC where the winning tribe receives a food reward and gets to sit in on all of the losing tribe's TC then after the vote when they
are expecting Jeff to send them back to camp Jeff says immunity is up for grabs and another person will be leaving tonight. They start another challenge
(possibly individual). Nothing too complicated maybe even trivia or fire making.
