I don't have Facebook, so I don't know much about it. If you deny that you have an account, can the questioner tell if you are lying?

Never accept them as a friend and tell the person if they ask (believe me people have asked) that you never get on facebook.

Yup. A simple "Oh, I never check my facebook." and "The email I use for it is a personal account I never check, so I never see friend
requests/comments." always works.

facebook is one crazy place...a few days ago, Dr. Salt's ex-fiance asked me to be her friend. I've never met the woman, but over the years she has
emailed, occasionally sent him birthday cards and gifts, and generally pops up just often enough to give us a good chuckle. Thank goodness she lives in a
different state, as it wouldn't surprised me if she showed up at our doorstep sometime. At least I know what she looks like now - Dr Salt burned all the
pictures that he had of her. Wacky times...
