Well I do think it'd be great if there were more tasks... not to be confused with "find the trout hooker". I believe it was a salmon hooker. Trout are much too classy and dignified to take up such an occupation. The only reason I remember is because that idiot TK pronounced it sol-men. But don't forget, there may have been un-aired tasks (like the RB in TAR:AS). I'm pretty sure the "search among the buoys" task was the other half of a detour. |

For the record, Luke applied to TAR with another deaf partner. They said no to that, and suggested a hearing partner, and the mom/son team was accepted.
I would have hated Luke winning if 3 of the final 4 legs had only allowed sign language. So I can't get excited about Tammy and Victor winning this, since they may not have even been in the finale without a gigantic language advantage while hanging out in China for so long. At the very least, it was far less stressful for them to run the last three legs in a country where they spoke and understood the language, so they were able to enter this leg more rested than the others. Meh. Whatever. woo. |

3 legs in Europe, 1 leg in Hawaii, and then, every other leg of this race was in Asia.
It started out well, but just fizzled at the end. The tasks this season seemed off too, way too many taxis as well. |

that is how deaf people talk.I'm pretty sure if a hearing-racer started waving his arms like a lunatic unnecessarily for 90% of the race, everyone would take the piss out of him too. Even Margie was fed up with Luke going "GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" for no reason most of the time. |

Got a question. I always thought that AR was an all-or-nothing race. 1st place pair wins the million, all others get nada. But in an article in Today's
Denver Post (it's online) Roberta said that they got $10,000 for third place. That ain't a ton of money, but certainly not nada.
Anyone out there "in the know" actually know what 2nd-14th get? |
