4. Kevin





After nearly a decade of Big Brother throwing us the single nastiest gay guys on the surface of the planet, they finally blessed us with a tolerable one. My theory is that unlike his counterparts, Kevin is 29 and in a loving relationship thus doesn't doesn't feel the need to be an attention-whoring whiney douchebag like the previous miserable, attention-whoring whiney queens BB has casted.

Kevin pretty much had the same strategy I would use if I was ever on BB which is shut the fuck up and avoid drama. Of course I wouldn't've abused of the words bitch and "biznatch" like he did because it doesn't exactly have the same impact when you're a straight guy. Although there was one instance where Kevin did get involved in drama and that was on week 4 with Ronnie and quite possibly the most mother fuckin' LOL of the season! For those of you who missed it, Kevin basically started shouting at Ronnie and then chestbumped him like there was no tomorrow to the point where Ronnie was reduced to t.ears and then Kevin proceeded in finishing him off while Ronnie was crying in his bed. One has to wonder when Kevin makes you cry does it mean he's a lot more badass than he looks or is Ronnie the pussiest human being to ever walk the Earth? More conservative people would say that no way a flamer like Kevin could be considered an American hero, but anyone who makes Ronnie cry in my book is a bonified American hero.

One last reason to like Kevin, he karma-bitchslapped Jeff.

Just because I stand up for straight males, doesn't mean I'm phobic or sexist. Although I understand how it can come off that way at times.

1. Russell




I was extremely reluctant to root for someone who's nickname is a shout-out to their own genitalia, but Russell grew on me faster than a Chia Pet.

Russell's storyline was very similar to Michele in that he was a lone wolf. He started off as a complete douchebag who seemed like he was nothing more than Jessie's sidekick and desperatly trying to out-douche Evil Dick. But I sensed early on that Russell was his own man and was going to play his own game. He proved it on week 4 when he won HOH and had the audacity of targetting who he wanted rather then letting Jessie puppet him into doing his dirty work for a 4th week in a row.

But like Michele, Russell had major flaws in the way he interacted with people and that got him into hot water several times and like Michele, he bounced back everytime until he was finally screwed over by Jeff, ironically just when he was starting to settle down and be more trustworthy than ever. All of this is no surprise that his realationship with Michele was for me pesonally, one of the most interesting in BB history. They were so different like fire and water, yet very similar in the fact that they were both lone wolves with no real friends to depend on. Their relationship has hit several potholes along the way, yet somehow they always ended working with each other, which just made it that much more touching and satisfying when they burried the hatchet. In fact the two of them together have nearly brought me to fanboy status, to which I've been trying my hardest never to become, they were just that poweful, quite possibly my second favo duo after Howie/Rachel. Except the difference here is Howie/Rachel already had a realationship before going into the house.

Now I understand a lot of people here hated him and I expected it, but I despise when his haters say that his vote for Natalie was sour grapes. It was purely based on who he thought played the best and he even called Jordan a sweetheart despite their arguments. Besides, what the fuck did he ever owe Mrs. Pillsbury? Why do people feel like he had to vote for her to be the bigger man? Sometimes it's a lot more about rationality than sour grapes. And even his haters have to admit that he left with a lot of class. He did act like a dick several times in the house, but you could tell it was just an act and that inside he's just a big softie. Kinda like the opposite of Jeff whom on the surface always came off as a teddy bear, but every now and then his true colors were revealed and it wasn't pretty.
