Here is how I would handle the "Family Member Visit Twist"......

1) Each contestant receives TWO Family Members when they arrive.

2) Jeff Probst announces that there is a MAJOR twist coming for the team that wins. The Contestants sit down for the challenge, it is competed on by their family members.

3) Once the challenge is over, Jeff shows the two rewards. Reward #1 is for EVERYONE save the winning team. Reward #1 is a large bbq/banquet feast for X amount of time where all the family members and their Survivor contestants partake in save for the team that actually won.

That reward/twist is this: the Survivor that won, he and one of his loved ones will go on vacation now, and are "out" of the game for that time. Jeff tells the person that he and ONE family member will be gone and that the Survivor will be returned to their camp as soon as Tribal Council for that week is over.

And thus, for all intents and purposes, that Survivor has immunity.

But the winner has to leave one of his family members "in the game". In that, that one family member stays with the tribe, returns to camp. He will compete in the Immunity Challenge and will go to Tribal Council and vote. He leaves as soon as Tribal Council is over.

The twist's impacts are huge. Obviously for the Survivor, he has immunity.

But his "family member" now has to remain in the game.

He has to figure out for himself exactly what alliance his family member was in. (I am sure if it is a close game , there will be a lot of people that will gladly give the contestant 'their' version of what their loved one was doing in the game).

If he win's immunity, he can deny it to anyone or can grant it to someone since he will not stay long anyway.

And regardless, he still gets to vote in that Tribal Council. Hopefully he figures out where is loved one's alliance was at.

But imagine, if he gets duped into voting a way that their loved one absolutely WOULD NOT have wanted?

I guess it would go without saying, that a season of Survivor Winners vs Celebrities would be a pretty good twist.

Ray Romano of EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND has said as recently as a few month's ago that he has applied to EVERY season of Survivor since season 2. I would imagine a guy that made $6million per episode is a little above what they want on Survivor, but still.

In theory a team of Survivor Winners vs a team of Celebrities is still feasible, especially if it is for Charity. I think in theory a SURVIVOR- SECOND CHANCERS, where people that did not make the Merge in their first runs, are all brought back. I would enforce a strict number of slots for different era's of Survivor. Let's say this was done for season 24, for example, there would be X amount of slots for seasons 1-7; X amount of slots for seasons 8-16, and X amount of slots for seasons 17 and on.

Ok, how about this then......


SURVIVOR- THE GAME MASTERS edition or something like that.

This time around, we cast ONLY people that have shown a capacity for manipulation and gamesmanship that exceeds all others. While there are many survivor champions that probably make this list immediately (Hatch, Bryan H, etc), we can also open this up to people like Will Kirby and people from other Reality Shows that have shown the capacity for manipulations, mind games, etc, etc in their respective shows/seasons.

If this were done, I imagine CBS would still probably restrict it to CBS/VIACOM affilliated shows, what do you all think?
