The racetrack itself was very good, the tasks mostly entertaining and the general entertainment value and pathos was WAY up. Margie/Luke-Great pretentious villains Jaime/Cara-One of the most interesting teams of the last seven seasons, and not just because they were the most attractive team the race has ever had. Kisha/Jen-Solidly entertaining team Tammy/Victor-Ditto Mel/Mike-The famous one ends up being a dud, but his father is one of my favorite racers ever Preston/Jennifer-Memorable first boots No bullshit twists. We didn't get the Fast Forward on every leg, but the rest of the cast was has their part in livening things up(Hey Victoria). ... What more could you want?

For it to be as good as TAR1-13 instead of the worst season ever? I'm not sure which part I disagree with most: Tammy/Victor being "solidly entertaining" (1 out of 12 episodes does not equal solid) or the tasks being good ()

The racetrack itself was very good No it wasn't. Two legs in Western Europe (which, for all their issues with budget, could've easily been made more cheaply by having them A) not fly Lufthansa and B) not ride around in Benzes), one in Romania, two in Siberian Russia (which weren't that bad), then six in Asian countries already visited, followed by a finish city already visited. the tasks mostly entertaining Pie-throwing =/= entertaining. Spelling =/= entertaining. Driving people around =/= entertaining. Fug people running around naked =/= entertaining. Movers Detour =/= entertaining. The entire Phuket leg =/= entertaining. The ridiculously easy tasks of Bangkok =/= entertaining. Bejing 1 =/= entertaining. and the general entertainment value and pathos was WAY up. FWIW, the Kisha/Jen and Margie/Luke drama cast a big raincloud over the season. Mark/Michael's continued existence wans't that entertaining either. Also, bullshit twists made for the best episodes. What would 5-11 be without the Yield? What would ?12-8 be without the drama of the U-Turn? What would 6-12a be without Hayden being forced to do the lock roadblock? (yes, the answer would probably be Adam/Rebecca finally getting eliminated, but I'm going for dramatic potential here)

A lot better than anything in TAR14, still. But the Blind U-Turn was the biggest bullshit twist since the Intersection (mainly since it meant the same team could use two U-Turns on the same race-course). If you care about that sort of stuff, TAR13 was the first season since TAR4 to have no kind of handicaps used on another team, so praise that one instead (along with its better cast/tasks/route/editing).

Additionally, it also had both FF attempts be competitive to a degree. So of course, the way to rectify this is to...reduce the number of FFs and magnify the importance of the U-Turn (and then make the only one available nearly impossible to earn )

And yes TAR14 sucked. I can't think of an episode from that season that would make my top 40.

The race course sucked and so did the tasks, but despite that, it was still a really entertaining season(my 4th favorite after 7,5, and 12). The only thing that brought it down was the finale. It was terribly anti-climatic. If Kisha & Jen had gotten to the final three, it may have been exciting but them getting eliminated forced me to root for Tammy & Victor who were my favorite team throughout, but were getting annoying TAR 13 was boring as hell. It was extremely predictable. The race course and tasks were better, but it just stupid. The only likable people in the final 6 were T/D, Ken, and Sarah. Everyone else was retarded.

And the edit was good enough that it was actually believable for any team in the Final 5 to potentially win, unlike the crappily edited TAR14 Final 5. The only likable tedious people in the final 6 were T/D, Ken, and Sarah Everyone else was retarded. If only we had the witty genius of Mark/Michael, Jen and Luke to enjoy

I mean, if she could've gotten away with it, she probably would've killed Kisha on more than one occasion (compared to T/V's miraculous breakdown/recovery). Conversely, Cara is kinda boring, and is only benefited by knowing Jaime (as is the rest of mankind <3)

You do make a point about Ken/Tina & Nick/Starr. Though T/V did almost get last in the Romania leg, they did slip more. I'm just a little biased towards season 13 because I hate Nick/Starr(The fact that Nick is straight still shocks the shit out of me ) T/D were tedious, it's just K/C were stupid bitches, Terence was a baby, Dandrew was just a couple of idiots, Tina was always having her period and Nick & Starr got on my nerves. Though all these people were entertaining, I didn't want any of them to win, especially not K/C. JENGODDESS <333333333333333

But TAR13 had the same "shock" elimination of Mark/Bill and that didn't rely solely on the U-Turn. I'd probably agree that it was easier to find teams to fanboy over in TAR14 (since black gurls, Azns, hot girls and OTT sympathy-cases have an automatic fanbase regardless of how unentertaining they turned out to be). But it had a less varied race-course, more one-dimensional editing and less challenging or culturally interesting tasks. It wasn't even a race, it was a taxi lottery most of the time.
