I would have said parboiling not precooking if I meant boiling. I cook them at abot 225 for like five hours with rub and the BBQ. Sauce is very last minute.

Unless you've got a smoker or you actually know how to use a charcoal grill with indirect heat, you should be grilling your ribs for about 15 minutes tops. The rub goes on the night before and you keep it tightly wrapped in foil in the fridge until the morning when you put them in the oven for about 10 hours at 200F. You put them on the grill for about 15 minutes with the sauce on them, pretty much heating up the sauce and getting a nice bit of carmellization on it and that's it.
