"Shark Tank" is one of the few shows to have its own video web post-show. This one's done by AOL.

I really hope they see something they all want a a piece of and they bid up instead of down. That would be fun.

I have seen this a couple times now and this is how I unerstand it.
You work your ass off and start something. You need a little cash for growth or to get over a hump. They flash some cash and try to buy your product/company/whatever and leave you out. they are condesending and rude, much like anyone with any reasonable amount of money. Uninteresting, unless there are other douchebags that think they are better than other people who want to watch to see someone get screwed over. |

This show works for me. While I doubt that half of these deals will ever be inked, the greedy pig sharks are interesting to watch. The inventors/businesspeople who approach them are really just bit players - much like real life - but even they have their crushed dreams, their epiphanies, and their sellout moments to make them good tv. EPMB knows his shit, I'll give him that. Way better than that inventors show. I was surprised how hard they jumped on the singing teacher - I wouldn't have thought that getting a new teaching aid into the system would be very easy, but then again it's a finite, closed consumer group, so they obviously know how to get it done or they wouldn't have foamed at the mouth to sign him like they did. Clothes magnate guy was kind of a dick to the people with the yawnerrific clothing line, but I bet he hears that pitch at the urinal, so I can't say I blame him. |

I watched last night and couldn't believe the guitar guy turned the deal down. He must be more the $500k cash flow negative to have turned it down.
Also I would hope someone is doing a little research. The child slepp relaxation thing is not a new idea by any stretc but she got a deal. I'm guessing too that none of these "deals" will really go anywhere. |

Guitar guy was a fucking moron. I'm sure that money he turned down will be a great comfort when he's declaring bankruptcy in another 6 months.

I can believe it would maintain it's tune in the 10 foot walk to the Shark last night... but if you traveled any distance with it, it would definitely be out of tune. If there was a way to collapse the neck of a guitar and maintain the integrity of the sound, every guitar maker out there would have a model that did that. |

I was wondering when they were going to do Dragon's Den in the US. It is one of the best Canadian shows (I hear it was originally UK), too bad they
don't have a great female millionaire on the panel like we do up here.

First off, I enjoyed the episode of this show that I watched.
I was initially impressed by Mark Burnett's "helping people affected by the economy" idea. Then, I came to realize it was actually about five business moguls taking advantage of people who can't fund their aspirations and buying their ideas. That point aside, I enjoyed. |

And I honestly can't tell whether it's supposed to be or not. They milk the bad economy angle, but they have no trouble making the sharks seem ruthless, which is part of the appeal. Regardless, I'm enjoying it, and the ratings seem to be improving. A couple of the sharks could probably use replacing, but overall they're pretty interesting, being supportive yet brutal and thinking objectively overall. Pretty solid show overall. |

Also, I'm trying to figure out what exactly is Burnett's master plan? Survivor on CBS, Apprentice on NBC, this on ABC, and that fifth grader shit on
FOX if it's even still running. What is he trying to do...

Nobody's pointing a gun at anyone's head. Plus, whether the deals are signed or not (or even agreed upon) the sharkbait are getting national television exposure for their products. I can't feel bad for them. I think it's cool to have the creative force on one side, and the cold capitalist machine on the other. Anyone with a good sense of what they're bringing to the table should be able to get a deal that keeps them involved with their brainchild, and anyone with no realistic idea of what their product is worth or the actual market for it should just sell it outright and cash in while they can. |

I love this show. Nice to see the pie man doing well.
The fart pants people just needed some free exposure which they got. I'm sure they'll be happy no deal. That man did look like a pig. |

Yeah, I definitely want to see the follow-ups on past people.
Gassy ass people weren't as epic as I predicted, pre-show, but you're right. They'll get some sales from being on the show. Sports bra lady had no chance to break into the market, and Fizz guy had no clue. |
