What do you do to combat your own laziness? |

Probably a retarded question to ask on a messageboard filled with timewasters, but might as well give it a shot.

Oh, all sorts of things. I'll make a list up and post it in a few here.

Why, is there something you want to accomplish?

It's a daily struggle...... the only thing I can suggest is to, as vividly as possible, imagine all the shit piling up that you are going to have to do
eventually anyway.

Hard work MAY pay off later, but laziness always pays off now.

Actually, I just "knock it out". What ever I am avoiding I put half the energy into doing it as the energy I am trying to avoid it.
It kinda works. |

I am many things, but "lazy" is not one of them.

I could be a lazy person, but there's too much to do and not enough time to do it! Whenever I feel like just lazing around, I find something to do that I
enjoy, put on some great music, and just keep moving. Start with one room and clean outward, or start with the easiest task on your work schedule and work
outward to the hardest. Try to instill a sense of accomplishment for even the simple stuff. It does help...
OR you could just chillax, grab another adult beverage, and casually flip off the stack o' laundry! |

I'm with Eugene, I just knock stuff out. I start the day by doing the thing that I least want to do that day. Once I just start on something I
usually get wrapped up in it and finish. Then I can do the stuff I actually want to do.

Like they say, procrastication pays off now. Except in my case when I'm not doing what I'm supposed to be doing, then it's always nagging me in the
back of my mind, so I tell myself the only to shut it off is to get it over with it right now and then I can actuallly be lazy as fuck, guilt-free. It feels
much more liberating.

I take a nap.
After I wake up, I feel both rested and guilty, so it's easy to pitch in and get stuff done. |
