A friend of mine used to do something similar. She`d buy something at Ikea, not even take it out of the box or remotely use it, and return it the next day.
She`d go back on the Friday of that week, find whatever she returned in the discount section, and get 50% off whatever it was. I was never sure if I should
congratulate her or shake my head. Her and her husband were also the type of people that would excitedly point at a chinese buffet, and tell me that if I
showed up 5 minutes before closing, i could fill up a take out box with whatever i wanted for $5.
