All people up for elimination would probably be playing, the entire "losing" team. Even though HOH does the noms, when it's 6, 5, or 4 people, they would all be playing for their lives. I tend to think the have/have not teams will be more for that comp though, like food comps have been, only now you will lose more than food. HOH could still be a completely separate deal, as with food comps.

There are a number of ways this would be okay, but I do not like when they are basically forced to nominate two of five or six people, as opposed to two of eleven people.

Essentially, it sounds like every other season except they will compete for food and luxuries as teams and the losers will suffer more punishment than just having to eat slop. It could be good as long as the losers really have to rough it.

Thus, 6 people would be safe (the HoH, and the five people on his/her team.) And 6 would be vulnerable to being nominated. Food competitions would work as well down team lines. Veto competitions would work the same as well, drawing by random any player from either team. This could only work for the first few weeks of the game, at the most the first four weeks. Because if one team dominates the other, the numbers from the other team dwindle. I think they'll end the teams idea when the jury phase starts, same as they did with the couples in season 9. It also depends on if former players come back which I surely hope not. At first glance it doesn't seem right, but it is an interesting experiment to say the least. Anyone who says Big Brother isn't a team game, I would beg to differ. One of the most revered seasons in Big Brother history is season six because of the teams aspect that developed naturally instead of being manufactured. But yes, this does remind me of Fiji in terms of the origins of the twist.

Posts: 4138 (06/28/09 1:00 AM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	Maybe it will be like upstairs/downstairs with the downstairs losing team getting hemp hammocks, crummy rooms, no spa privileges, slop, have to do all the laundry, dishes, cleaning, various chores (wait on Big Sister Sheila hand and foot.) Meanwhile the upstairs team will have all the perks, lovely rooms, good food, spa, use of the pool, etc. HOH could still nominate anyone, the voting doesn't have to be "survivor style" just because they are making the teams more official, rather than the "teams" that form anyway. I think the have/have not comps will just replace food comps, be a food comp on steroids since you lose more than just food, and probably have nothing else to do with the regular HOH POV parts of the game. I love POV comps almost as much as HOH comps. It's the one part of the show that only needs one real change, live feed coverage.
