Ethan/Sekou - Survivor Alaska (played by Gnarles and notremojo)

Oh yay, this alliance didn't screw me over, it was the other way around ^_^

I'm ranking these two together because they were a tight pair in the game, although I certainly didn't realize exactly how tight they were until after the game had wrapped up. Like I mentioned in the B.B. write up, Alaska was a game with the unique red rover twist that meant not only were there Immunity Challenges, but Reward Challenges as well. You win a reward challenge and you get to kidnap a member of the other tribe (this game was conducted on two separate boards at the beginning). Well, we decided to use and abuse this twist by winning reward challenges, kidnapping a member from the other tribe (Koyuk), and then promptly throwing the immunity challenge to boot them; wash, rinse, and repeat for the first several rounds. Most of the tribe was fine with that method, but I seem to recall it was Ethan that first brought it up. Looking back, the Kenai tribe took advantage of that twist and exploited it completely, while the Koyuk tribe actually tried to work with their kidnapped member (Todd played by RR). Wow we look like total douchebags, lol.

But anyway, for the first half of the game, that was the main "strategy" and Ethan and I talked a lot during that time, well into the night most days. Then the host merged both tribes onto the same board at the F12. Was it a merge? Nope, but our two tribes were now able to coexist and PM one another, with the rover twist still in effect. A round or so later, Sally (Martrae) and I started feeling uneasy about Ethan and what he possibly had going on with the other tribe; we wanted to start getting the numbers to blindside him later on (it turns out we were right about his double dealing because he did approach members of the other tribe offering to sell us out lol).

Sally ended up leaving before anything solid was put in place though due to a challenge gone wrong (it was a clusterfuck, basically in a challenge where players uncovered tiles of different colors, each colored tile represented a different action to be put into effect immediately following the challenge. We weren't told what each color meant until the challenge wrapped up. A few people were randomly swapped onto the other tribe, some snagged immunity for the round, and some gained harmless shit avatars that made me never want to visit the board again). I went on to pull in Jenna from the other tribe and blindsided Ethan at F7. He helped in achieving his demise by sending messages to Frosti about going to the F3 with him and Sekou....messages that ended up being forwarded to me. And from there, it was easy to convince Erik to boot Ethan, even though we were all part of the same alliance.

As for Sekou, he wasn't overly active in this game but he was given opportunities to flip on our tribe and he never did (Definitely credit to Ethan for this). I "repaid" him at F4 by forcing a tie on him for Jenna because we all thought it would be a F2. At that point, I wanted to actually get to the end so I didn't want to keep around somebody who would be taken to the end over me. It ended up being the wrong choice because after Jenna won the tiebreaker challenge, we found out that it'd be a F3. Yeah, Frosti and I freaked out. LOL It was humorous at least =P

Eh, I can't rank them higher because we fell apart post merge for one and at the F4 for the other but it was still fun. <3 There are quite a few characters from Alaska on this list <3 Oh and fun fact: Sekou received 22 votes total during his stay in the game AND wasn't knocked out in a vote, but in a puzzle tiebreaker challenge. Impressive, no?

HONORABLE MENTION

Daniele - Vertigo 4 (played by MultiGeminii)

Sigh, where to start with this write up? LOL, it's partially an apology of sorts actually since this could've gone places and I definitely effectively destroyed any chance for Daniele and I (Susie) to work together. Like I've said in the write up for AFMD, everybody was aligned with everybody else in this game and it was an intricate web of lies from the second this game started. We talked about aligning and how there were tons of fake deals floating around and how the deal between us was real. Eek, I ended up having to juggle about a million deals and I'll admit I put this one on the backburner and ended up doing a ton of lying, so much so that I lost any trust she could've otherwise put in me.

One night, there were tons of PMs being forwarded around and it involved her and her plans to rally up some of the other perceived "outsiders" (of sorts) to make a power move on the majority alliance that included me. Of course, I decided to be my idiotic, cautious self and beat around the bush until the wee hours of the morning before finally confronting her about it. Eh, it wasn't a good idea (sorry) and our relationship went even more downhill from there. Looking back, perhaps if I had been able to come clean, things would've been different. All in all, before I quit at the F7, I was pretty much a lock for the F3 though so I think strategically, the moves I made in the game made sense. The way I handled certain situations however, especially with regards to Daniele, was pretty poor though so my apologies for how this all ended up. Daniele (and her c00t avatar =P) defo would've been a great alliance partner under different circumstances and I definitely feel I should acknowledge that ;) Damn, Dan (Madhack) and I were like obsessed with her avatar. Silly us =O

Fun fact about this particular game? It was nearly as bad as Battle Royale in terms of names. I mean... Dan, Daniele and Danielle? We ended up referring to them as Danny boy, WD40 (white Dani) and BDani. Racist? Eek. *runs away*
