45 more minutes and then it's lunch. I am famished. I think I'll be getting sushi for lunch today after all this talk of Asian food.

vietnamese sannies are great. bahn-mi.
I've had Ethiopian and it was like poor-man's Indian, not my favorite. Vietnamese is a bit greasy. I do love most Thai, however, not huge on lemongrass. |

For some reason when I eat Vietnamese food with meat in it, I can't get the thought out of my head that I'm eating dog or cat.

How can anyone not love pho?
Ethiopian! Pile all that saucy stuff on the injera. That's gluten-free heaven, baby. And thai food? Pad Thai! Mangoes and sticky rice! Those people really know how to do yummy carbs, sigh. |

I love lemongrass liquid soap ... the kind they use on Delta airplanes [in the loo]. |

On my continual quest for the bestest chicken saag, the current first place honors go to "Taj Mahal" restaurant in South Lake Tahoe. They also do a
great chicken tikka masala and a naan bread with raisins and coconut. Killer food with a western rancher decor (aren't all great Indian restaurants
situated in former Irish pubs, closed diners, etc.?).

Love the Indian food! When my son is in town, we always hit a sweet restaurant near us and gorge on all the goodies! The combinations of spices and textures,
when done correctly, make Indian food second to none.
Ok, I think the whole "where do you want to go for lunch" dilemma is solved for today! Tikka Masala, here I come! |

Lemongrass - I would kill for it. My favorite tastes are lemongrass, tomatoes, cumin, paprika, lemons, immensely stinky cheese, sour pickles, cabbages and
chickpeas. Yum.

Chickpea curry... I'm a confirmed carnivore, but I'd take chana masala/choley over almost any meat dish. I have cans of India House Punjabi choley for
emergency curry situations.

Chaumes is my favorite "footy" cheese, you gotta try a nice ripe piece for me, Bill. It's French.
favorite tastes? hmm.. potato, cheese, curry, lemon, mint, parsley, semi-soft cheese, goat cheese, pasta w/tomato sauces, eggs, reggiano with balsamic, almonds, dark chocolate, chilies & jalapenos, beef, crispy pork fat... there are too many! I've seen that locally, skirtchaser- I'll try it just for you. |

We've only had an Indian restaurant for about 2 years, but so far I love biryani, goan shrimp, samosas, and pakoras. And then there are a bunch of dishes I
like, but don't know the names of because they were served on a buffet for a special event.
Do other places have Greek/Lebanese combo restaurants, or is that peculiar to here? I pretty much love it all. The only Vietnamese food I've had is pho. I should've probably started with one that didn't have tripe in it. It was okay, but I need more pho experience. Thai is my fave! I prefer Thai curries to Indian and I love tom kha gai and laarp and most anything on the menu. OE, do you like buttered toast with your buttered spaghetti? That was one of my son's fave meals when he was a kid. And probably now. |
