there's no reason Disney needs to hold a "GAY DAY". that's virtually the same thing as them holding "Black Day" only with less fried chicken and more glitter.Disney does NOT "hold" Gay Days! Disney has nothing to do with it; they are open to all, as usual. The Gay Days arrangers do it all on their own, and simply agree that X thousand gay people will all show up at Disney World on the same day. The park is not an "accomplice" in any way--it's just as if we wanted to have a "Survivor Sucks" day and all go to Disney together, wearing immunity necklaces to identify each other (not that I would ever want to be seen in public with any of you yahoos!). Learn a thing or two about the event before spouting off about it.
And, BTW, it's been in early June for years; any parents who have such a problem with their kids seeing gay people together can go some other time. Disney is NOT going to forbid entrance to the park to people just because they "look gay", as much as you might want that.
wah wah wah. cry me a river. i stand by my opinion that there is no reason for a "Gay Day" at Disney World. if gay people ever want the world to "accept" them--which has been happening more often now--they might as well "be themselves" in all situations, not just certain days that are labeled for it.Unfortunately we are not at that point yet in society, but most/all of those "Gay Days" participants DO live "normal lives" the other 363 days a year.
If they continue to hold "Gay Days" and what not, it only further separates them from the rest of the public--and makes them stand out, thus hindering their efforts toward "complete social acceptance".Those who have a problem with gay people are going to do so even if the gay folks never set foot in Disney World again from now until the end of time. Prejudice should not dictate how others act.
Again, Disney does NOT "shut down" on gay days--anyone, even you, can go there on those days. Try it and see; you might learn something about tolerance.continue with what you're fucking doing. needing some major theme park to shut down and hold a "Special event" just for you really isn't a productive way to create change.
And to answer your question Poody- yes he is. But this has nothing to do with my response or feeling on the matter. I have ALWAYS felt this way. You're right about one thing- this ain't the place, but when I see back-wards ass thinking like that I really can't help it. I called bullshit, bullshit.
Now I have meeting with my elderly friend SA at Dennys, so I must find my dentures and be on my way.
