Unemployment will plateau and will begin to drop sharply in the fall-to-early 2010, as predicted. Only the neocons expected a quick fix; the rest of America knew we were in for a long haul. And yes count this lib as having health care as a top priority. The rates from Aetna for my husbands small office went up 30% after one year. It's pretty clear that they pulled the old bait-and-switch on us and now we're being forced back to the blues. Single-payer can't come fast enough.

No, I think people who understand economics knew that it wouldn't be a quick fix and we also knew Obama predictions were way off base. We're not going to see unemployment plateau for a long time. We are in for slow recovery made worse by this out of control spending.
