Anyone else think that a 2016 in Chicago will be picked purely because of the Obama factor? Presuming he gets re-elected of course, what a "historic"
Olympic Games to be "held in the US President's home city" in his "historic" last few months of "tenure" etc etc etc etc.

I don't see how Madrid can win after Barcelona and straight after London in 2012; nor do I see Tokyo winning so soon after Beijing -- no racial
stereotyping intended on my part, but it is a factor.
It seems to me it's a race between Chicago and Rio. Do they want to cast a vote for Obama hosting a Games hoping he gets re-elected, or do they want to go en autre historical route, the first time the Games have been held in South America? |
