The showing part, that I can't figure out how they enforce it unless the kid it's shown to tells and they go and find the images on the phone. The forwarding, that's traceable. My concern is someone sent my 12 yr old son a delightful porn video. We caught it before he ever saw it, and my husband called the number and told them if we ever got another text or call from them, we'd call the police. But I could see him finding it on his phone, and then saying, "Hey look at this" and show the video to his friends and him getting in trouble....I realize they're trying to cut down on the broken up relationship/revenge photo broadcasting, but I'm not sure how it will play out.. (I did, however, forward the video to my phone and show it to my book club...quite entertaining...)

^ Yep. It's the parent's responsibility to tell their kid that if they get sexted to delete it immediately, or to show it to the parent his or her cheap thrills. But, if as a parent you've given your 12 year old a cell phone you are already failing anyway.

I'll apologize to my son for failing him when he gets home later this morning from taking the SAT....and yes, he just turned 13...and he doesn't post at sucks (which means he's already a couple of steps smarter and more mature that most of us....)
