Ken was nothing like an Asian Todd. Ken's relationship with Michelle is what made me like him in the first place.

Well yeah, he didn't start out like Todd. I was never a fan but he was likable enough up until the Marcus boot. After that, he became power-hungry and lost any charm he once had. He was no longer the nerdy goofball; now he wasn't fun at all and just became a strategic robot who could dish it out but couldn't take it.

The problem isn't even that they made mistakes--it's that to get to the position they ended up in, so many random things had to go in their favor. The first tribal swap gave them a free opportunity to take out a strong competitor in Jacquie (who was boring and nobody cared that she left, but still). The second allowed them to take out Marcus who had otherwise positioned himself well (yes, I realize that Kota alienated Susie--but if it weren't for the late merge, the best Fang could hope for is to force a tie and have it go their way--and you know that Matty or someone would be an idiot and refuse to take the risk and be swayed by Randy to join the Onion). Basically the way the twists went down just completely overwrote the first eight rounds of the game, which, like it or not, the Onion had dominated in just about every aspect.

There is also an element of rigging that goes on in every season. Season one had some pretty blatant examples, season two admitted to reshooting certain fights or conversations for better camera angles, season three even rigged their final 4 challenge.

I'll agree on season 1, since I do kind of think Stacey's telling the truth. But the only thing I recall Burnett admitting reshooting was footage from challenges with stand-ins that didn't affect the outcome, such as Butch Cassidy from "Rodger"'s vantage point. I could be wrong but I really think people would've made a bigger deal if someone admitted to reshooting scenes with the contestants themselves. As far as Africa, that was a mistake--and it cost CBS close to $50K extra to make it up to Tom and Lex.

I'm not saying that Gabon was rigged by any stretch--just that the twists usually went in favor of Fang, and that that was a far bigger catalyst to their endgame domination than any actual gameplay on their part in the earlier stages. They weren't the first people to benefit in a major way from twists (Teresa and Frank after the swap; Yul and the idol + F3) and they won't be the last.
