Nirvana


Really love this band, and think they were great... major Krist Novoselic <3
But I think they've been given way too much credit for "changing" music when the truth is other bands were already playing this sort of music years before Nirvana came along... Nirvana got lucky, became instantly popular, and got all the acclaim that others deserved more in the end. Whatever.


Midnight Oil


Great Aussie band who produced great records in the mid-late 80's, almost put them in top 30 after listening to Blue Sky Mining the other day... <3
Love the fact that they were intensely political, and not afraid to speak their mind or be themselves. Peter Garret (lead singer) ran for the Senate in Australia in the early 80's but lost by a slim margin because jealous cunts from the Labor party failed to support him... so glad it happened though, cause otherwise he never would've gone on record all the great music that came after that.. .. he's now a member of the House in AU, or some shit that I really don't care about... all I know is their music is and will be forever timeless <3

I kinda lost interest in them like 3-4 yrs ago, so don't know what they're up to these days, and don't really care, but still consider them to be one of my fave despite their overratedness....their first 2 albums were very refreshing when they first came out because everything else was total shit in the world of music around those days, still kinda is actually =/

The Killers


Who cares about the other band members when the lead singer's a hot stud like Brandon Flowers, right? ;)
He's undeniably gorgeous, and I love that he has great taste in music (like me ^_^) he's into the New Wave/Post Punk musical era and worships some of the same Gods I worship... there's so much to love about him.... however, what I don't like about him is that he covers (ruins) so many of the great songs recorded by those great bands we both love... why the fuck do that is he respects these people??? I don't get it when he does it, or when anyone else does it for that matter... Great, classic songs should be left alone & untouched. I was really upset when The Killers recorded a version of one of my favorite songs Why Don't You Find Out For Yourself by Morrissey, and also Ian Cutis' Shadowplay which sounds really weak in this new gay version ... you just don't fuck with greatness like that! :'(
Anyway, I really like The Killers' sound and think they're a really good band (when doing their own shit, not copying!) but they're still not good enough to fit in my top 30 list... I'd do Brandon any day of the week though, his pornstache turns me on
