Will calls Julie sweetheart to be cheesy or to annoy her or whatever. Julie or one of her flying monkeys gets offended and tells Will he shouldn't call her sweetheart. Will gets offended that they're telling him he can't call Julie sweetheart. It's all perfectly fine. I'm offended everytime George laughs or talks. What-ever.
Of course if Julie would just call Will "sweetie" once in front of the rest of the hamsters, that would a) defuse the mountainous molehill b) make her look like she's taking the high road c) crack everyone up, especially ME! FWIW - I doubt Will or Julie are losing any sleep over this. But I find it funny to imagine there's some under the surface war of words going on between Will and Ms.Chen and since my entertainment is paramount that's just what I'm going to keep on imagining. |

Reality TV and live feeds. STOP censoring this.
Why is this one of the only reality shows I watch, because of the people and what they get away with and discussions they get into. I dont watch this show for Chen, I do watch it for Will. Chen could be replaced by a robot and no one would know. Even that dude on World Series of Pop Culture could do it and he is creepy. Oh and as for the PC sensitive whiny hairy-pitted hos who have a problem with being called something nice once in their lives, If I ever mistake you for someone who should be called something nice and by some blind misjudgement call you sweetheart, please accept my apology here and now. What I am sure I would have said had I known you were some oversensitive PC whore, is "beyatch". Ill only call nice down to earth normal women sweethearts from now on. Thanks for caring about something as important as this! No really, go rant about it at the next open mic at your local coffee house. Because there is nothing else in this world that needs our attention. F-ing hypocritical hippy-wannabe feminazis. |

Quote: According to the following story, CBS might revamp The Early Show, so who knows what lies ahead for the Chenbot. www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,212741,00.html Is CBS planning to revamp its morning news show? Thats the word around the water cooler at the Tiffany network, where Katie Courics takeover of the evening news has started tongues wagging. The new best-case scenario would be a CBS "Early Show" with CNNs Anderson Cooper and NBCs Campbell Brown as cohosts. Where exactly that would leave beloved anchor Harry Smith is anyones guess. And the fate of Julie Chen, who is also Mrs. Les Moonves, would be up in the air, too. Moonves is unlikely to remove Chen unless he can find something better for her. The Cooper scenario is not so unattainable, CBS insiders feel. Cooper is already starting to do reports for 60 Minutes, and CNN has traditionally had a sharing policy with CBS. The latter network seems comfortable with the idea, since it has no cable affiliate of its own. But the Brown idea is the more interesting one. Since she was passed over for the role of Courics successor at the "Today" show, Brown has made no secret of her unhappiness. Steve Friedman of CBS may feel that getting Brown to jump ship is easy especially after shes had to work with Meredith Vieira, the winner of the coveted position. CBS entry in the early morning market has always been troubled, and has never quite come together despite many talented producers and anchors whove come and gone over the years. Lots of stars have tried and failed in efforts to woo viewers from "Today" and "Good Morning America," from Diane Sawyer to Bryant Gumbel. Meanwhile, Courics second night anchoring the evening news showed a couple of things: Her news is a little more family friendly, and Katie is the chattiest national news anchor in history. Shes obviously decided to break the fourth wall and talk directly to the audience. The evening news has always been done in the third person, so this should be interesting. And a story about a young blind man seemed not to be unsympathetic a little banal for such a coveted spot. |

Julie Chen is married to the head of CBS. She won't be fired, she won't lose her job.
She isn't very good at her job but she isn't anywhere near as bad as some are making her out to be. |

CBS evening news had a ratings jump for the first 3 days that KC took over. But it's back to 3rd place now and I think most people can understand why. Katie just doesn't have the personality or temperment to deliver the National evening news. Alvin and the Chipmunks would be better.
As far as the morning show goes, ABC and NBC have always delivered some good morning personalities. CBS never has. Julie Chump certainly does not have a morning personality. In fact, she has no real personality at all - except for something she seems to have designed based on some alien life form. Perhaps she watched too much ALF as a kid? In any event, thanks to BB, it seems that she really has no place on any national TV program that is related to news - not in any way at all. She either belongs at some zoo with a big banana in her mouth or back in Les' bedroom with a big dick in her mouth. Unfortunately, that probably rules out Les. So, I don't know where Julie belongs. I just don't want her in my home on any of my TVs. Julie? Please fuck off and die. In fact, if you can do it without fucking it up, please go and kill yourself. It will be the only good news that any of us have ever gotten related to you. |

Chen for CBS News and Couric for Big Brother would be a win win for everyone CBS News is last of the big 3 so it couldnt do any worse and Couric would be a lot more competent and the challenges would all run a lot smoother.

If I may ask, how does "sweetheart" make a woman feel inferior?

Are you kidding?
You don't go around calling people sweetheart unless you are 80 years old and don't know any better. It's presumptuous. |
