if a woman came in to terminate a pregnancy at 6 months bc she felt she couldn't go to rock concerts again, and that was the only reason, then i think it's safe to say that tiller wouldn't have found an unaffiliated doctor to sign off on the abortion. of course, that's assuming tiller would do the abortion in that case to begin with.
mchugh admits that the file notes he looked at were sparse. he didn't talk to the women. he didn't talk to tiller or the other doctor involved. and i don't hear him say whether or not there was a non-psychiatric medical reason for the abortion in addition to the psychiatric notes taken for the specific cases he's talking about.
and, yeah, i don't think he's an objective expert. i'm looking at the transcript of the full interview, and he's talking about taking the lives of "little babies," and how sad it is bc the country is so desperate for adoptions that we're going into "deepest, darkest China to bring these dear children out."
