The propogation of the species has been held over women's heads since the dawn of time. THEY bear the brunt of it. Pregnancy and childbirth were used to imprison women in the kitchen and keep them out of the workforce. Biologically, females of almost every species have always had the bigger burden for the consequences of sex. It has been used to control women for millenia. I find it incredible that you see it the opposite way.

And as for giving up their 'natural bond', this is just hogwash. Women have also worked since the dawn of time. The construct that women are to stay home or in the cave with the kiddies was created recently. Very few women in human history have ever had the luxury of staying home with the kids and crafting.
