Oh, don't worry, I am going to hire someone to assemble it.
Actually, mr. naa could probably do it, but I'd prefer to have one of the grill @#%%% set it up. I will call them to see if they can do it without the side burner, CBR. I am assuming that if they can't, I can disassemble it pretty easily. Do you really think I need to swap out the t connector? Couldn't I just cap the part heading out to the burner? |

You're spending $2500 on a grill that has a rotisserie and a side burner that you'll likely never use and keeps it from fitting on your deck? Why
don't you get a grill without a side burner/rotisserie attachment that will actually better suit your needs and actually fit?

Well, if you can find me a six-burner grill without useless attachments I am all for it. I think that was question 2 in the original post. :)
The only frill of this one that I like is the dedicated smoker box, although there are tons of low-tech solutions for that obviously. |

Go to lowes with th measurments of your space that the grill will go in. then pick out a good one, they have a ton of them pre assembled.
BTW I have the house gas line tapped to my built in GrillMaster on the back porch. I never run out of gas. |

Take the railing off that portion of your deck.

I think reconfiguring the deck is right out, but I like the way you think!
Maybe I should just do the Weber 4 burner and call it a day. It won't be ideal for the type/volume of cooking I do, but whatever. It'll be better than what I have now. |

ok, so now I'm thinking the E-620 instead. It doesn't have the rotisserie so the work area is just that, a work area. Should be totally fine not to
install. And then I keep the burner so I don't monkey with the gas, which is also fine. I lose the dedicated smoker box, but (a) I pick up more work area
and (b) the low tech cast iron smoker box works just fine. So, I think that is a winner.

I didn't see any gas connections in the provided diagram.
I see no problem whatsoever with aburigging something up. Would you want to use that burner somewhere else? I think all you'd need is more hose (he he). I'm gonna eat some breakfast & I'll come back, find the connection diagram & get ya all set up. eta: This is our grill for a family of three:
I made some modifications the day I bought it. WTF cares about the warranty?

I do have to say that the flavor of grilling on good old fashioned hardwood charcoal far surpasses that of gas grilling.

Uh-oh. Kimbob doesn't pay attention and nyah's gonna yell at her for it!

The flavor of grilling on charcoal does not surpass that of a gas grille with a cast iron smoker box full of mesquite wood chips.
Unless you're referring to the flavor of lighter fluid, in which case, I can't argue that. |

"I've run a propane line directly to it,"
Propane or natural gas? |

we "accidentally" bought a natural gas jenn air grill and the Mr had to run a line to it. fortunately, about two years prior to that, he'd
removed a gas wall heater in the bathroom and capped off that line, so all he had to do was run a line to the outside.
we also have a propane converter in case a hurrican hits and there is no gas. I love that grill and the side burner |

Interesting.
en, the way I see it is you can put that side burner anywhere you fuckin' want. All you need is a longer hose. Any plumber or mechanical contractor can fabricate that pretty easily. I hope I have solved your problem and now I am going to close the seven Weber tabs I have open & enjoy the one beautiful day we get here every year. Ciao |

Propane, Ned. Whole house is heated with it.
And you did, thank you. |
