They draw numbers at every other juncture of the competition so why don't people believe it's a random draw thing instead of some form of manipulation? Wha? They do? Let me tell you a little secret. AI is a reality show that is cast with character types and is micro managed (manipulated) to the last detail. It is done to create drama and ratings. If you think for one minute that it is a fair contest you are either very naive or mildly retarded. |

certainly was according to most critics/forums, etc. They always qualified their praise of Kris whereas they almost always gave Adam OTT praise.
they don't draw numbers for position slots. Adam received the pimp slot 40% of the time. People will grumble about the pimp slot/favoritism but they know they cannot outright call the show for its favoritism because they need to keep on the show's good graces because the show can shut them out from future promotion which they will need in their post-idol career. where are these FIVE TIMES you're talking about? yeah, like "2 times the whole season" is the new 5. umm .... Adam and Allison sang last on Rock week. That is the definition of the pimp slot. They managed to make Adam sing first and last and denied Gokey any pimp slots (well that scream could have been fatal for Gokey if that was the last thing people heard but it cost him the following week). Kris sang back to back - that was major bussing. Do you know why they paired Allison with Adam? Duets with male/female partners tend to be better than male/male duets. They also paired those two a lot in commercials, group sings, sitting next to each other during elimination night, etc because they wanted Allison's voters to transfer over to Adam after she is voted off. Simon specifically said that Adam could very well have saved Allison. If he did, great that would have meant Kris being voted off potentially. If he didn't, Allison's voters could have appreciated Adam more for almost saving her. Adam got 3 straight pimp slots and 5 total the most of any contestant (along with Clay) in AI history.

They hated Allison...did they give her the pimp spot too? gmafb. Oh ok. Let's not count the duet. Adam got the pimp spot four times. Let's compare this to everybody else who made the top 4. Allison had it once, Danny had it once (and NEVER had the spot in the top 13) and Kris had it once. Yeah, that sure is fair. |

okay, I'll acknowledge it is not random how they pick the order. I found an article that talked about it from last year...they are attempting to make the best most entertaining show possible... the phrase save the best for last comes to mind

Melinda and Elliott are too low, fail. I knew they wouldn't have any numbers 1 though. If Jennifer doesn't get any #1s I'll have gotten all 3
right. Also as I predicted Jordin and Bo are the two with modes that weren't 10. WIN!
I also predicted 4 of the Top 5 correctly, I only had Carrie in there instead of Allison. I got Jordin in 10th place and Melinda in 8th. My predictions were for once pretty decent. I actually agree that Jennifer is totally overrated here though, especially if you're basing it on what people did on Idol. Top 5 Idols of all time, give me a fucking break. Melinda, Elliott, Carrie, Jordin and Bo actually deserve to be rated higher than her imo. |

He was the Kelly Clarkson of this season where Adam was the Tamyra/Justin I agree...Adam was TCO.... he benefited from the hype but only so much. and Kris was the Kelly Clarkson of this season overcoming great odds to have a fantastic and totally deserved victory. I'm simply debating that Adam wasn't the MOST pimped contestant of ALL TIME. I actually think that might be Tamyra Gray....
and lil got it Group 3 and Danny Group 1.... yep they were pushing those three HARD from the beginning. Only ONE gave performances worthy of the praise and the pimping IMO.

Adam was pimped, Kris wasn't, they're both great. Kris fans think he should be #1 on this list, some other people don't. Kris fans think Adam was way overpimped, Adam fans acknowledge his TCO status. Anything I missed? |

I agree that Danny benefited far more from the screwing over of Allison/Kris than Adam. Adam would have gone far and been as popular imo without judge pimping.
Danny imo would not have been as popular if the judges hadn't been so OTT about him.
Obviously though Kris overcame and didn't get screwed out of the win. Allison is really the only one who got screwed and even still she'll be signed by a major label, most likely even with 19E and co and Danny won't. The true Top 3 has prevailed and that's really all that matters. It's a win-win-win situation, the only losers are Danny and his fans. He'll have to wait until after the tour to be signed to some Christian label and his shitty CD will flop and he will be fighting against fading into oblivion. All while Kris, Adam and Allison are laughing all the way to the bank with each other. |
