Has anybody looked at other people's predictions? We are all over the place. I count 11 (!) different people predicted to win (everybody except Alexis and Michael). Usually it's about 4. So a lot of us are going to be VERY wrong. Doing this without having 3 weeks of semis is not easy at all. I am amazed that anybody would pick Megan or Scott to win, though. I do think there are 5 contestants that could finish almost anywhere: Jorge, Matt, Jasmine, Li'l, and Alexis. Okay, here goes:

13. Megan - probably fucked her way into the finals, but the public will reject her.
12. Michael - sucks. The ONLY one we pretty much agree won't get too far.
11. Scott - 7th best male singer could go a few weeks further, but I suspect the public will get tired of his poor singing quickly.
10. Anoop - good voice, but he got less votes than Michael (!) in round 1. Don't underestimate how much the public dislikes Indians. He will get voted off immediately as soon as he has a weak night.
9. Li'l **shocker boot** - she will NOT be able to handle different genres. I am also using the "inversion" theory that the more touted of 2 black female singers gets booted first (Nadia, Obesa), and the long history of unexpected 9th place boots.
8. Allison - most impressive singer in the semis is 16 and will stumble somehow in the finals (bad song choice, etc).
7. Kris - meh.
6. Jasmine - time will run out for this season's bottom 3 champ. See Li'l for why Jasmine will get this far (cf Vonzell, Paris). If Jasmine does screw up early on Li'l will take this spot.
5. Matt - very good singer whose poor song choices will catch up with him and keep him from getting too close to winning, maybe sooner than this.
4. Alexis - last woman standing. Could reverse places with Allison.
3. Jorge - could go a LOT sooner than this, but I like him and I think the public will warm up to him too. There' s a tradition of latino singers that should help keep him in longer than Anoop.
2. Adam - overwhelming gayness and ego could get him voted off sooner, but he's got the voice.
1. Danny- consistency, pimping and dead wife will get him the victory. He will then go on to sell less CDs than Taylor Hicks.
