Le gasp...is it time to rank the game you all expect me to rank? *ominous music plays*
Nope.
16. survivorspecies' $urvivor 4: India This game was quite the trainwreck...but in a c00t way. An ORG without challenges?!? How is that supposed to work you ask? I'll tell you how. It "works" because half the cast that signs up don't have time for a real game and/or don't give a shit anyway. Seriously, I thought the concept was kinda interesting at first, but if you never have to be there "live" for anything...the slackers end up not being there...period. I dunno if the format of these games is supposed to be a secret or something. Aren't the boards open for anyone to see? But regardless...if you intend on playing one of these and would rather not get spoiled, READ NO FURTHER! The rounds basically alternated from "light-a-torch" style to straight up voting every round. Like for example, the first round we had to all get into groups of three, and the odd person out ended up being the boot. It'd be kinda tragic if we were all active and showed up to play huh? Except someone did us the favor of not showing up at all. Then we had to elect captains for each of our groups of three, and surprise surprise...they were the only ones vulnerable...and the only ones voting. Since the captains were obviously active people, I thought it was a pretty crappy twist. Oh did I mention every bootee gets to do a $tar impact task after getting tossed aside? Way to make them feel important again <3 Except y'know, since they tended to never show up, it kinda phailed epically. I'd rather not bore you with the details of how this game did or didn't go down. There was barely any drama at all. The only thing I even remember about this game strategy wise is that at the final nine, there were clearly two sides and I thought I had wound up on the lesser side and was the target to boot. Getting ninth place in a craptacular game like this would have made me This game caused some controversy amongst the cast because the host...was kinda away and busy. So WMN, the co-host took the reigns and made quite a number of "executive decisions" that didn't quite sit well with the players. For example, if you missed a task or don't log in for 48 hours, you get expelled...or something. But said person who gets removed, replaces the bootee for that round. So we can all go to TC, vote...someone is about to get their torch snuffed, but instead...Miss Angelina announces "So and so is getting removed for being an inactive twunt. PSYCHE!" I think that happened at least two or three times. One of them happened to be one of my closest allies, but after not hearing from her for days, I was actually glad to see her put out of her misery. That's Survivor for you. Also Angie's decisions pissed off a couple people so much, they were actually planning on mass quitting on her. I'm not saying I could have won in an F2 situation, but F3s are the bane of my existence and let's never speak of that particular F3 again. When you look at my stats, this game had an F2...yw. ^_^ Oh and I could have totally gotten to the end with the two people I wanted an F3 with and made a better case for myself, but at the F5 round we all had to cast two votes, and one of my allies was fucktarded enough to vote in the wrong thread, getting two self votes and turning a laffotastic 4-4-2 vote into a 4-3-3 vote with him leaving. Lameage. Stupid allies ftl. Why is this game ranked so low? I dunno really. Did anyone have fun in this game? It was pretty much a drag for the majority of the cast. Angie was moody and didn't take any crap from anybody, half the cast was moody and didn't take any crap from Angie. The overall tone of the game seemed to be "meh." I mean, I was playing in Malaysia at the same time as this game, I barely logged onto the board once a day, and after getting past that turbulent F9 round, I pretty much blinked a couple times and was like...wha? I'm in the F3? The game took so little effort to play and wasn't exactly one of my better performances, despite getting to the end. |

Congratz on 6K posts!! I think I've only played with Alexis, JP & Marcus. Seeing how JP already has a win ...I'm going with Marcus or Alexis FTW here!!

I played in $urvivor species' previous game, $urvivor 3 Hawaii and it had pretty much all the same flaws as those you mentioned. No challenges, so people
don't show up. You go to the board and for hours not a single other person shows up. You PM person after person and no one responds. And when they did they
were all as boring as fuck. Only person who was halfway interesting was WMN as Angie, who was my #1 ally in that game as a player. And CG at least turned it up
a bit and became rather OTT after I left. In any case, worst. game. ever. is a fairly easy assessment for that one. No wonder he's having a hard time
finding anyone for #5.

Oops...I don't mean to bash his series when he's trying to fill the cast for his next one.
Advertisement: it is the perfect game for you if you don't have time for a real ORG. <333 |

At least it has aliases. Those lamos put work into designing games and like, 90 percent are non-alias. What's the fucking point then?

TBH, what I will say is that anonymous games are usually considered twists in themselves.
