Sorry, I mean that there is no such thing as a "deserving" player. People like certain people over others, and that is unavoidable and fine. But just because you like or dislike someone and feel that they should do well means nothing in the real game.

Yeah, I hate to come off sounding like Artiee....

I just hate it when old people get dragged to the end through no gameplay of their own (Jan/Scout, BB10's Jerry.) On the other hand, I loved BB9's Sheila and was heartbroken for her when she got evicted even though I knew there was no way she'd be F2. I guess it is rather arbitrary.

I LOVED her but when she refused a chance to better her placement in the game (by teaming up with Helen and Ted, I think), I was so PISSED with her. I mean... COME ON!

Oh I loved Lill. You can't equate Lill with Scout. Lill was damn entertaining and an actual game player unlike Scout or Jan, though she got no credit.

I hated Lil and her holier-than-thou attitude. She lied more than JFP.And crying because she didn't her reward to Rupert? Giveme a break. At least Scout sort of admitted she was a shithezd She admitted playing spoiler in the car RC and the vertical maze. The fact that Sandra scored such a huge blowout just goes to show how muxh Lil was hated.

Well you must clearly need an eye exam yourself if you think Cook Islands, Palau, and Tocantins are top seven. Cook Islands and Fiji are the same fucking season. They're practically fraternal twins. Boring seasons with 3 or 4 big characters while everyone else is invisible and has a very predictable winner.

by the way I think most of the board would agree that Borneo, Australia, Africa, Marquesas, Amazon, Pearl Islands, and China are better than those listed. Therefore, not making them top seven. I'd like for you to argue though how CI, Palau, and Tocantins are better than those I've listed.

The rest I would explain if I don't have a class coming.

So Vanuatu is not considered before All-Stars? Thailand wasn't as bad as people think. It holds its own. Africa, Vanuatu, Amazon & Marquesas are pretty much known as classic seasons (not so much Vanuatu,) but you liking Palau proves that you only like Survivor for the twists and not actual Survivor.

Africa is an amazing season. What are you talking about? Africa was back in the day where every character got their moment to shine. Amazon & Marquesas being considered average to you just shows how much credibility you have.

Are you really comparing characters from Tocantins to the earlier season? There is no way you can win that argument. Sandy only lasted four episodes and was only really visible in episodes 1 & 4. Sierra never had a memorable moment. (Unless you count whining for 45 minutes interesting...), Stephen was one of the most robotic people t ever been on the show. The final 5 in Tocantins was pretty bad. You have JT who was obviously going to win, Stephen a boring strategy bot, Erinn who struggled to get airtime, Taj who was completely ignored post-merge and Coach...

China wasn't a great season, I admit, but I'd rather see 1000 China seasons before 1 Tocantins season again. The Tocantins cast did not have more personality than China. Tocantins didn't have any personality. At all.

^No, Tocantins did have personality, just not the kind you like. I for one couldn't identify with anyone in China, and I thought Courtney was boring.

Agreeance Yema. People just need to embrace pre-ASS seasons and accept that they are and always will be better than the homogenized crap they put out today. Something changed and it will never be the same again. The difference in quality, the care that they used to put into the production, how they carefully crafted each edit, it's just ridiculous comparing a modern season to any pre-ASS season..

at even mentioning "Tocantins" in the same breath.

i just dont get how people can call marquesas and amazon inferior seasons... the only explanation i have is they were too young to watch them when they aired -_-

I don't really like Marquesas' cast. I love the location, but the cast just didn't click right with me.

I don't think Survivor is dead, not if they fire the new editors and stop trying to engineer a certain outcome. The most telling thing about Probsts role as host came on the Borneo commentaries. He said that in season 1 he was there as a spectator, letting the castaways lead the charge and make up the "story". Now Jeff tries to influence the outcome, both in the field and in the editing room(And at the reunions).
