Which is why I said I thought what Adam said was hysterical and Clay totally deserved it.
My head certainly never exploded with any of his announcements...I was thrilled he could finally be open and honest with himself and anyone else. It's the only way anyone can be truly happy. fwiw...I only ever claimed Clay was straight because HE said he was. I'm of the belief that people should be allowed to self-identify. At some point he stopped answering the question and I started figuring that he had probably finally figured it out on his own and was ready to admit to himself he was gay...and it didn't bother me a bit. Doesn't change the way he sings, and it's not like he was going to come and sweep me away even if he did like girls.  My biggest beef was when people used the "He's GAY" as some sort of put down. Coming out can't be easy and who am I to judge when
someone is ready or not? I have to say, as soon as I heard he had a baby with his friend/producer by artificial means, I knew he had to be gay and again, I was
cool with it. I actually like him better now because he seems way freer to say what he wants and do what he wants. That's way more fun than the
"angel" pedestal some crazy fans put him on.

and I agree with people being able to self-indentify and the fact is neither Clay nor Adam or ANY person owes an explanation as to their sexuality. That's such a private intimate part of a person and if one does not want to put it on display they shouldn't be hounded about it. I detested all the Clay is gay shit and really only started calling him gay once he came out officially. Otherwise I tried to steer clear of that particular put down. I mean there were so many others to choose from it's not like I needed that one

Saying "He's GAY!" was only considered an insult by his fucktard mates who took it as an insult because they were the homophobes all along.
Witness the mass exodus of his fans once he started being honest. People just liked watching them lose their shit and scream back "He's NOT
