I cannot believe there is no thread for this guy. This is a taste of Craig for those who aren't in the know yet..........

I only see the first five minutes of each show but I liked it better when he had a ten-minute stream-of-consciousness monologue instead of the two minutes of
him staring goofily into the camera.

I love Craig. And I mean I love him in a stalker scary sort of way. I can live with it.

The interviews he does with the guests are the most entertaining. Very laid back and he can make even the most boring person (like Guy Pierce) seem funny and reverent. |

John Waters is one of the guests tonight. That should be an interesting interview.

Oh he's still doing his long monologues at the into -- his Cher-bashing a few nights ago was epic.
I love the guy, but the problem I have with him is that if he has someone on who I want to see interviewed (Paulina Porizakova in that instance), I feel like I have to watch the entire show to keep up. With Leno, Dave, Kimmel, Conan, or the new simpering fuckface, one can fast forward directly to the interview of interest, maybe pausing briefly to check out the Top Ten or things being thrown off of buildings. With Craig? If you try to do that, you will almost always have to go back and watch the show from the start. No band, no sidekick, no HD, a roof that leaks, and he's the best of the lot. Since when would you expect to see Desmond Tutu on a late night talker that isn't PBS? |

I only get to see him when I'm on vacation or out of town for business, but love it when I get the chance
After seeing the show, I put Saving Grace and The Big Tease in my Netflix queue (sorry Anti) - they're both hysterical! |

This thread confirms my suspicion:
Lonely hausfraus really really REALLY love Craig. |

Oh he's still doing his long monologues at the into I assume you mean after the first break. I have my recordings of Dave go five minutes extra because it was always cutting off the end of standup comics. The recording usually ends right as Craig goes to commercial, and all he's typically done by then is peek into frame at an odd angle and talk about his puppets. No band, no sidekick, no HD, a roof that leaks, and he's the best of the lot. Both Dave and Conan ran Late Night for years under similar constraints, and now they're the rulers of the talk show circuit. Craig is doing just as well as they did...there's no question he'll succeed Dave when Dave retires (or gets bumped up to 10 on the laughably small chance Leno's show works out). |

I heard the gaes love him too b/c he gets his PA to dress in kinky leather outfits. Dave hasn't been good since the 80's when I was just a wee young college student. Conan has always been awesome, but now I think Craig has bumped Conan down to #2 funniest dude in late night tv. Assclown has never been funny. |

I adore Craig and readily admit to owning a copy of The Big Tease which I won't lend to anyone!
