I also thought about how screwed over the hiatus messed with the new shows post-strike but then again look at "Glee".

Two stories about the new "V" that I came upon. I hadn't heard about the whole legal thing. Apparently Warner Bros. was trying to say that this
new "V" was NOT actually a remake of the original, basically to screw Ken Johnson out of royalties and a screen credit, they had to go to arbitration
over it:

god this show scared me to death when I was a kid.
I remember not too long ago a cable channel showed the whole series split into 3 movies. it still was kinda creepy |

I seriously wanna hear how Warner Bros. was trying to justify this as NOT a remake of the original "V". So, what, this new show is a completely new
and original concept despite the fact that it has the EXACT same distinctive title and premise as the mini-series from the '80's? Right.

It's a re-imagining. A slight distinction from re-make (different characters for one) but still a distinction. I doubt it will follow the plots of the
origina and FB minis either so again: not a remake. The premise can be the same and still not be a re-make.

I really don't know how it all works, but if it was really just a re-imagining, wouldn't Ken Johnson still get a "Based on "V" created
by..." credit? Like how all the Star Trek's after TNG had a credit in the opening that said "Based upon "Star Trek" created by Gene
Roddenberry". It sounded like Warner Bros. was trying to screw Johnson out of any recognition whatsoever.

Next Sunday, November 1st
Syfy is running a V Marathon!!! Yay. Haven't seen the original since it aired way back in the '80s. Looking forward to a refresh prior to the remake airing Nov. 3rd. I have such high hopes and expectations for the redux.
