However, I could definitely understand that there would be a debate like that among religious people as to those who believe God could have created life on other worlds versus those who believe we are the only life God created and the infinite universe contains no other intelligent life.

But I wonder if they are going to need to vilify the scientific community due to the fact that they might have some pesky questions. One problem I had last night is that they were a little too quick to say "we'll form a resistance!" Did it occur to her to go directly to the military and/ or her intelligence superiors? Or are they already too nervous about infiltration? That Visitor probe was one scary-ass device!

Can anyone tell me whether the aliens wear those tight leather jumpsuits that Jane Badler used to wear, you know the ones, like a Michael Jackson jack.et with the V design crossing over the breast area and pointing to the crotch? If not, I'm not watching. That was favorite part of the original . . . to us horny college students the V stood for vag and not visitors. (edited because jack.et was filtered. WTF?)

I loved the Nazi Germany allusions in the first V. I wonder if the writers felt terrorism was more relatable to the younger viewers. It also gives the Erica character something to do job-wise that relates to the story. I think in the original V the visitors started picking off scientists pretty early on. I recall one guy being ambushed from behind in his car because he didn't check his backseat before getting in. I had the impression the core of the Resistance had been in place awhile and that the one guy (guy who was going to propse to his gf even though he's a lizard!) had been part of it but was now getting out for fear of being checked under his ear.

During the church scene I was thinking the elder priest should be less likely to accept the visitors than the younger. That made me not trust him too much. I found it very believable that Landry was suspicious and was worried that humans would start worshipping them. Did he actually say he didn't believe God created aliens? If so, I missed that. If not, I'm not watching. So grateful to see Monica Baccarin, and Alan Tudyk as an alien is perfect as his face looks very lizard like to begin with. Perhaps Nathan Fillian will make a guest appearance as another nod to Firefly? He is, after all, on the same network, at the very same time. Now, all we need is Jayne (now on NBC's Chuck), Zoe (now Vanessa's mom on Gossip Girl) and River (on Dollhouse if we ever get to see the episodes).
