65. Ryan Shoulders (Survivor: Pearl Islands - 15th Place)

Ryan is another player from Pearl Islands that I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for because he was the first really dorky Survivor nerd to be cast on the show. Sure, we had Rob Cesternino the season prior, but he didn't seem quite as socially awkward as good old Skinny Ryan. He got screwed by being stuck on the Morgan tribe, which was filled with dumbasses, which resulted in his tribe having absolutely no idea what they were doing at any point in the game. He wasn't part of the clique and he was probably the weakest member of Morgan, so he knew he was screwed early on. He was the only person on Morgan who seemed to realize that maybe the tribe should have been trying to spend all their money, since they'd never get another chance to spend it. He was on the outs early on, but due to Nicole messing up, he survived another round, trying his best to win the next challenge for his tribe, but he failed spectacularly (and I believe it was this challenge in which Andrew threw away Ryan's glasses). He came back as an Outcast in a hilarious fashion, with his "Die Jerks" bandana, and sadly, he didn't get voted back in while Burton did. He would've been so much cooler on Morgan.


64. Lydia Morales (Survivor: Guatemala - 4th Place)

Lydia was absolutely adorable and was probably the biggest sweetheart of the Guatemala season (not that Guatemala needed sweethearts). Lydia will go down in history as one of the worst challenge competitors of all time, but that's really not her fault. She's extremely short, and things are simply more difficult for her to handle. But she made up for her physical shortcomings with pure heart and determination, fighting to win challenges that were physically impossible for her to complete. Early on, she was a target, but her hard work paid off as she was spared twice in a row against Morgan and Brianna, and a third time against Brooke. Lydia was one of the few people to stand up to Steph, calling her out on the fact that she was eating so much that she was actually gaining weight on Survivor. And I felt so bad for her when she got to see her brother for the first time in three years, and then Steph decided not to take her on reward. Steph was really bad at handling jury votes that way. She was voted out in a bad move (although several people argue otherwise) and was upset with Steph on the jury. Also, since Survivor, sadly, her son died, and my heart goes out to that for her, because her heart went out to so many on Survivor.


63. Twila Tanner (Survivor: Vanuatu - 2nd Place)

Twila was bombastic, to say the least, and it made for amazing television. She was an amazing example of redneck-ism, just going by her background, yet she never really came off as that big of a redneck, personality-wise. Sure, she had a bit of a temper and she was willing to swear on her son's life (a promise that she broke shortly after), but still, she was quaint and I loved her for that. The final six of Vanuatu was probably the most strategically competant final six in any season, so for Twila to only be the second of that final six to appear thus far certainly means a lot. She pissed off the younger women on her tribe earlier on, yet because she befriended Dolly, the tribe had to target someone else and Twila was safe at the first vote. She was swapped into a female minority on NuLopevi and she quickly bonded with the men, whom she seemed to get along with far better than the women. Twila was destined to stay loyal to the men until Julie pulled her back to the Yasur alliance. That's the same Julie who, when Twila/Scout found out that she had replaced Scout in the final four, caused Twila/Scout to flip the entire game at the final seven. Twila made it to the final two as an amazing goat and sadly, she fell victim to the awesomeness of Chris Daugherty. She helped make Vanuatu an amazing season though.


62. Vecepia Towery (Survivor: Marquesas - 1st Place)

Yeah, I know. Vecepia had a really bad edit, but that was just because of how skillful of an under-the-radar player she was. Seriously, I would say Vecepia makes the final four in seven seasons out of ten, and she wins three of those seven. Vecepia got a lot of haters for flaunting her religion so often, and for proclaiming that her Survivor win was a victory for black people everywhere, but really, that was a huge reason as to why I loved Vecepia's win so much. She was the first black person ever to win Survivor, and the only other black winner came from a season that had five black players and five of every other ethnicity. She started off against Sarah, but when Peter went home, she quickly adapted and joined the lazy alliance to dominate the Maraamu tribe. When the swap came, she easily weaseled her way into the Rotu tribe while Rob and Sean self-destructed. And I firmly believe that Vecepia could have, in theory, made the final five with ease, regardless of whether the Rotu 4 were split up or not. She made the final four as an alliance of one and she used her note-taking skills to overcome and win the final four immunity challenge, leading to an amazing final four tribal council. And then she turned on Kathy to get to the final two. She went on to win in the first ever comeback victory, and it set a standard for underdogs everywhere.


61. Leslie Nease (Survivor: China - 14th Place)

Pre-game, I didn't really care for Leslie because I thought she was going to be a typical Christian warrior that reality shows have too many of nowadays. But then the first episode came along and I just found her so sweet and adorable that she became my early favorite. I mean, she started the game by being terrified of joining in the Buddhist ceremony because it felt like prayer, but rather than blowing up, she just quietly excused herself, and I had a lot of respect for that. She was also a superfan and it made me feel nice to know that someone watched Africa and didn't hate Survivor enough to apply every season until she finally got cast on China. She was like the mother of the Fei Long tribe, and it was so sweet to see bitchy girl Courtney, who started off hating Leslie for being a "Sunday school teacher", become best friends with the tribe mom. Sadly, she just got kidnapped by the Zhan Hu tribe, which put a target on her back because she got along with the Zhan Hus so well, and then her tribe lost because Courtney failed at chopping a rope. I've always felt Leslie was screwed over because she would've done better than Courtney in that challenge, and Courtney shouldn't have been allowed to sit out in the reward, since she sat out in the episode two immunity challenge. Oh well, at least Leslie took it well and she's an inspiration to us all.

It was my first ORG after joining Sucks, run by foulmouthedleon. I wanted to be Skinny Ryan because Sandra would be too obvious and I thought it would be funnier to be someone less important. Of course, the Morgan tribe sucked harder than in ths show, and we merged 6-4 (we won the outcast challenge though). I was the challenge whore, but I threw Ryno under the bus and pledged loyalty to Sandra/Christa. I made the final six before I got cocky and targetted Sandra as the biggest threat in the game. Unfortunately, Darrah had flipped on me and Rupert/Fairplay were dumb, so it didn't work out, and I was unanimously booted. I voted Sandra to win that game though, and she did. Also, that was my first time meeting JaMalle and Franklin Bluth, who are both <3.
