110. Tamara "Taj" Johnson-George (Survivor: Tocantins - 4th Place)

Taj started off so strong in Tocantins that I really thought she would be an amazing character. She was one of the strongest players in the game, due to sheer size, and she was more than happy to throw her weight around in the immunity challenges, even if she wasn't the fastest runner. But she got sent to Exile very early on where she and Brendan formed the Exile Alliance, which would've been completely amazing if it had actually worked since you never see real intertribal alliances anymore. The only way members of a tribe work together nowadays is after a swap when they've become new tribe members all over again. But then, after the merge, the Exile Alliance amounted to nothing because it broke apart the very first time that the tribe went to tribal council, meaning that we basically wasted the early part of the season on an alliance that didn't matter while half of Jalapao got shafted by the editting. Still, the dissolving of the Exile Alliance meant Taj wasn't an important character anymore, so her edit basically sucked for the rest of the season. At least she was considered a fan favorite, and at least she managed to reveal Jeff's semi-racist tendencies when he couldn't tell which one she was in a picture of her singing group, so that was pretty funny.


109. Ozzy Lusth (Survivor: Cook Islands - 2nd Place)

I'm just gonna say that as someone who greatly appreciates really strong challenge competitors, Ozzy was one of my original favorites from Cook Islands (and in fact, prior to Micronesia, he was actually in my top ten, but I've since mellowed in my opinion.) Yeah, he was a bit of a dick as far as throwing a challenge (unnecessarily) to boot Billy was concerned, but other than that, he really didn't seem like too bad of a guy. I mean, when it came to his alliance, which was much more laid back and Yul's alliance, which was full of gamebots, I was definitely rooting for his success and it particularly upset me that Flica and Cao Boi, who were good friends with Ozzy, decided to side with their old tribes, who really had no loyalty to them in the first place. Ozzy managed to help his tribe win challenges when his neck was on the line, and once the merge hit, he went on a challenge streak, winning all but one immunity to make it to the final 2. I was rooting for him to beat Yul too, so it sucked to see Yul win, since all he did was find the idol and then coast safely through the game the whole season. Also, he was GORGEOUS in Cook Islands, and I was so pissed that he cut his hair for Micronesia.


108. Brendan Synnott (Survivor: Tocantins - 9th Place)

I liked Brendan a lot during his short time in Tocantins. I liked his attitude because too often, people make the game too personal or treat it like it's life and death, and that just makes it less fun to watch because they become meanspirited in a non-entertaining way. But because Brendan was already a multimillionaire and was really only in the game for the experience, it made him much more likable, because he really seemed like a nice and genuine guy. Granted, he became one of the many people on the "Let's give J.T. a million dollars" bandwagon, but it wasn't that bad. Brendan was a strong guy and was a good leader for his tribe. He just happened to be on the opposing side of Coach, who managed to somehow get a blindly loyal legion of followers on his side. Brendan found the hidden immunity idol after making his Exile Alliance with Taj, but that fell apart when he was completely blindsided out of the game with less than half of the votes being cast for him. Still, he didn't take the loss seriously and he was a nice guy in Ponderosa, so that's enough for a high ranking.


107. Peter Harkey (Survivor: Marquesas - 16th Place)

Ah, Peter, one of the most robbed first boots of all time. He was the first victim of the alpha male power struggle on Maraamu, and ironically, he was the only alpha male who wasn't really involved in the struggle for power. He wasn't into all the strategy and stuff that involved putting himself in power so much as he wanted the tribe to be strong, so he tried to get the group to openly discuss boot strategy against one of their weaker members. Sadly, that wasn't well-received and he was booted 5-2-1, which was a really dumb move by Hunter, because it completely eliminated any chance he had of controlling Maraamu. But Peter was a funny guy, and he was certainly unique. I mean, he was into yoga and he owned a bowling alley, for crying out loud. There was a whole scene dedicated to Peter talking about how he had complete control over each and every orifice in his body, which is actually kinda disturbing when you think about it. Such a shame that he got booted early, but at least he got to meet Gabe in Loser Lodge and they became good friends.


106. Colleen Haskell (Survivor: Borneo - 6th Place)

Again, this is probably another instance of me ranking someone too low because I just don't remember Borneo that well, but I don't really remember Borneo that well, so my memory of Colleen is a little bit blurry. I know she was a sweetheart, but as I stated in an earlier write-up, I don't tend to root for sweethearts unless they drastically improve the season in which they're in. Since the entire Pagong tribe was pretty positive as a whole, compared to the evil strategizing of Tagi, Colleen's sweetheartness was much less necessary. Still, Colleen had a good sense of humor, like when she made fun of Richard for being fat, and her little showmance with Greg was one that didn't really bother me the way most showmances do, because both Colleen and Greg were adorable and neither were really famewhores. Colleen was a nice person and it was so hard to see her booted after outlasting the rest of her tribe, all because Richard was afraid of an all-female alliance. But at least she and Kelly seemed to be good friends, after all, Colleen voted Kelly to win. Colleen went on to have a brief movie career, but I don't think she wanted it. It just fell into her lap. I can respect that a lot, the fact that she didn't go on the show for fame, but went on just because it's Survivor. A lot of recent castaways could learn from her.
