Randy is obsessed with Twilight. Maybe he can make a cameo in the sequel.

Adam Lambert.
Mad World by Gary Jules and Michael Andrews Slightly sharp on the first line, not bad though; also not as understated as it could (or imo should) have been. Different take at the outset from the first time; it's a tad bit quicker moving, too. The title line, though, is true to form as the audience makes noises which show approval. Second verse, perfect pitch and some small vocal stylings, heading into an above-the-melody-line descant just before the second title line. And just when I thought the ending could have been set up a little better, he sings the title line 4 times, emotionally connecting but hitting just off pitch on the final note. An 8. Randy: Check it out. This is it. I love that you're singing something you sang during the season, showing your sensitive side. I'm gonna give you an A+ on that, an A for Adam! A! Kara: So happy you chose that performance. When you did that, I knew you were not only a great singer but an incredible artist. That changed the course of the competition, how to compete with you. Paula: Astonishingly handsome. I'm unbelievably proud that you're on that stage now. Long journey. Audience: IEEEEE!!!!!!!!! Paula: Bask in it. This is your moment. Great song for you. More introverted performance, still haunting. You gave the theatrical taste of what we're going to see. Good job. Simon: I always thought this was your best perofrmance of the season. This, perhaps it was the coat, was a little over-theatrical. A little bit Phantom of The Opera. Audience: NOOO!!!!!!!!!! Randy: NO! TWILIGHT! Adam: They told me they had dry ice to get me down the stairs.

Missed Ghoulkey, fortunately.
Kris was shy about singing in front of his family... so was I! |

After the homophobic bullshit coming out of Gokey's corner in the past couple of days, that asshole can stay off my screen for good.

Nicely understated. Haunting and beautiful.

Good on showing off the coupon present for mom. The sweetness of it will totally pull those cheesy female votes his way.

Wait... I thought I heard Kris was doing Falling Slowly? Maybe without the backup singers, he had to do another song.

He's such a mediocre piano player.

This is a good arrangement. He's very good on this song. I think he strains for the big notes a little more than Adam does.

Geez, that was good. I liked it as much as Adam's, maybe even slightly better.
Tie, with a possible edge to Kris. |

I think Kris has done a nice job with this song both times. But no one sings Bill Withers better than Bill Withers.
