The correct christian way to make love is as follows:
1) Only between a man and a woman who are married to each other; 2) Only on a bed; 3) Only with all the lights out; 4) Only in the missionary position; 5) Only for the purpose of making babies; 6) Only the man is supposed to get an orgasm. I hope that clears things up. One of the more laughable ideas in this thread is that Michael Sarver's comments have in any way "sabotaged" his career. He never had ANY chance of getting a career out of his 10th place finish beyond singing in some local bar. In fact, no 10th place finisher other than Chris Sligh has ever released a CD (and Chris's sold zilch). If anything, he has helped himself a bit because there are tens of millions of homophobes in this country. They use a different name to identify themselves, however: they call themselves "republicans" (and yes, I do know that there are [self-hating] gay republicans). I do hope Sarver says even more inflammatory things, and does it real soon. If he got booted from the tour and Alexis came on to replace him, I might even go see it. |

They're just a couple of stupid straight guys. They may not be overtly homophobic, but those kinds of remarks are typical in a climate where it's still
okay to say that it's wrong to be gay while hiding behind the protection of Christianity to justify your bigotry. Fuck 'em.
