Richard Alpert would be the narrator type (Like from INTO THE WOODS) who could stand out of the action and become a part of it at the same time. Oh & there could be a great torture dance scene in the style of Jerome Robbins(West Side Story) & Bob Fosse(Chicago) combined. It could be fabulous.

In the season premiere, the plane is going to land safe and sound--not in LA but on the island like it was always "supposed" to do (see: ramblings from Lapidus and the runway-building and yadda yadda). Jack and Kate and Charlie and Boone and Ana Lucia and everyone is going to meet Ben and Juliet and Rousseau and Desmond and Richard and shit and either...totally have memory of their island history and what Ben etc REALLY are (to at least some extent) and what their scoop is, all "frontin" aside, OR they...only sorta kinda have some vague feeling. And so anyway...then sometime through the middle of the season, they'll all (Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Claire, Juliet, Boone, Locke, Ana Lucia, everyone) leave the island. What we get to watch for the tail end of the final season is the biggest universe course correction ever: Kate winds up free, and with Jack; Sawyer and Juliet together; Claire with Aaron, with Charlie too; and yadda yadda yadda, because that's what was always supposed to happen.

They just can't drop that part of the storyline. Your description of how Lost ends sounds a little too cozy. Btw, Matthew Fox thinks Jack and Kate were an ill fit. I don't see them together in the end. Who knows?

First thing is, I guess I shoulda prefaced that I don't mean to claim to know exactly HOW each of the post-island matches will...truly match up, or whether they will at all (I'm talkin' Jack-Kate, Sawyer-Juliet, etc.). A lot of those could surprise us. And as for UnLocke and Jacob et al... I guess my answer is we'll get an... answer to all those people and what their deal is--the answer will cover how all this time travel was possible and where the statue came from and shit--but beyond that, there's not going to be (and there doesn't need to be) any significant new character exploration. I'd look at 'em more as plot devices than...characters who have something to be resolved in the final season. :-/

So, it will be Kate-Hurley. He uses his money to get her off on the murder charges and does a commercial about how he's the "luckiest guy" because he's with Kate. Kate dumps Hurley and he goes crazy and kills them all. Or maybe, it goes back to the accident Hurley had where all the people died because he was to heavy and the platform collasped. The people that died where the losties and Dave was right, Hurley never left the mental hospital. How's that, and I'm not even stoned.
