I would.
I hate the thought of a reset more than just about anything else (except the island = purgatory |

Normally I would hate that. But I really wouldn't mind with Lost. Anything to rescue Jack and Sawyer from Kate
But it's not gonna happen anyway |

I would. I would hate it so much. I'd rather have them be existing in the head of an autistid OTer.

I believe they will end up at LAX as if the plane never went to the island. However, I don't think they will be oblivious to each other.
As if the island were to be saved, hence Jacob personally "touching" these people for a reason, they will be granted a glimmer of "memory" of their experiences they went through without the tragedy of it actually happening. Kinda like the end of Lord of the Rings (the movie version) where the Hobbits knew what happened and what was prevented but others around them went on with their business. It was their little secret that nobody else will ever have to know or endure. |

Endings I'd rather have than a reset/forget everything that happened on the show:
-The Devil convinces Jack to shoot himself with a dark twisted version of "It's a Wonderful Life" showing him how much better life would be for Bobby, Sue Ellen et al. if he were dead. -Desmond dumps Penny and realizes the Hatch is where his heart belongs and tells someone knocking on the door that it's closed. He turns off the lights and walks off into the darkness. -The war between Jacob and Anti-Jacob ends and most of the Losties leave via helicopter except for Bernard who leaves a message made of stones on the beach reading "Goodbye" -Juliet gets married to Kate's uncle Lucas played by Leslie Neilsen. The gang has a series of goodbye hugs -Smokey decides to go back to his home planet Melmac. While waiting for his girlfriend Rhonda to come pick him up in her spaceship the Feds show up and surround him. -Ben, UnLocke, Kate and Sayid are arrested when they fail to help Hurley when he gets carjacked. "The Island 4" are put on trial and a large assortment of people they've pissed off in the past come back to testify against them. Jackie Chiles for the Defense. -Locke wakes up in his hotel room greeted by Sheriff Ana-Lucia and Jack. He goes to the bathroom to brush his teeth and suddenly smashes his head into the mirror. UnLocke appears in the reflection. Locke turns to the camera and eerily asks "How's Helen? How's Helen? How's Helen?" as he laughs maniacally. -zoom out to reveal that we are in fact on the set of a live television show. Jeff Probst stands ready to reveal the votes. |

I'd like to replace this one with this: The Losties and The Others break up into teams of two to trek across the island, having to complete various zany stunts in a race to win $3.2 million dollars. Dharma Initiative Phil hosts. |

Well done! You got them all (although I tried to make most pretty obvious. Originally I didn't include details like 'Sue Ellen & Bobby' and
'Melmac'.)

Oh the original quote was "How's Annie?" but substituted Locke's girlfriend for it instead.

I actually would have no problem with that ending either. In one sense, it is a truly "happy" ending, where most of the characters live out their
lives. (Plus, Kate goes to jail!)
On the other hand, it won't end that way. LOST may be ending as a television show, but I don't think they'll want to close the door on LOST mythology permanently. If I'm the producers, I'm thinking that you want the show to leave the door open for a possible spin-off series, books, games, maybe even a big budget movie down the road. (Hey if you're JJ Abrams right now, you can get the funding to do almost any movie you want) Can't really do that if the adventure never happened... The best ending, imho, is to either end with them all living on the island, or back home with memories of what happened (because you might need them to return) |

After they land at LAX, I want Leslie Nielson to say:
Good luck, we're all counting on you.

I got the St Elsewhere reference also.
I could season 6 starting with them being on flight 815 and they just crash on the Island for some other reason. Maybe Lapidus makes the flight this time....he was obviously fated to be with them all in the end. But there is still too much from this past to be explained in order for them to attempt to do a reset. What about this Annie girl? Supposedly she was important. Was that just intentional misdirection? Did they put out fake things just to get people chasing little meaningless parts of the show to keep you from looking at the ovbious? Ben is just a loser who isn't special at all and no part of his past life matters? I think not. I think Jacob dismissed him because he wanted to push Ben to the edge. He seems to have the ability to infulence events although not technically interfering in free will. Call it a loophole. What about Libby? Don't be surprised if they sneak in an explaination for her too. Richard told Sun that he saw them all die, but he was nowhere near the swan station or Jin when the shit hit the fan. So obviouslyit was a cheap parlor trick to make you THINK the bomb went off. The bright flash was probably the electromagnetic anomaly escaping and it would have rendered the bomb useless and Juliet is just going to die a painful death down there and get sealed in with Cement, and that is the incident and they move on from there and everyone is still alive and trapped in 1977 and there is still more that they need to do in season 6. What about the set rumor of Jin in makeup to make him look 70something? More misdirection?

What about this Annie girl? Supposedly she was important. Was that just intentional misdirection? At this point, it's pretty much impossible for us to know what's "intentional misdirection", and what's just stuff they changed their minds about/couldn't think of a story for. |

I like this ending for it better. Of course it will be Richard instead of Olivia Newton-John's character. |
