Erinn votes for Coach: Dragonslayed. Coach votes for Erinn: You've been like the cat that has 9 lives. You were supposed to go out on Day 6. It's now 11 tribal councils later. Of course that doesn't mean Stephen isn't planning on voting JT out. It didn't make since for Stephen to keep JT out of the loop. JT could go on an immunity run and I don't think Stephen would want to give JT cause not to trust him. If JT did win immunity next and he didn't trust Stephen any longer then JT could team up with Erinn/Taj to try to boot Stephen at the final 4. It wouldn't have been smart for Stephen to cause that to happen.

I thought Taj said that at first but I listened to it a few times : ) My interpretation was that J.T. was protecting himself in case Taj played her idol. Also, he was all but ensuring Coach's vote at final tribal.

That is hilarious. Taj: It doesn't work any better. You can't write a better storyline. We came in 6 to 3. I was telling Eddie about that. I said "Eddie, can you believe we were down 6 to 3 but right now we are 4 to 2 in favor of Jalapao." JT: I mean we are, it's unbelievable. We should have been gone a long time ago. Taj: We should . . . . JT: Our plan worked. Taj: I know. Just think, everyone came in with an agenda. JT: And we did not even talk for like days. And everyone, and Coach and them, thought I was just ready to throw you [Taj] under the bus. Taj: And that's what I was telling Stephen. I was like that's where Spencer, Joe, and Sydney messed up. They were broadcasting everything that they would do. JT: And you know, I hate it for them. You, me, and Stephen started playing this game together right when he had to get rid of Mama K. And remember I told you let's just go in and do that. It was right. I wanted to go in a make a move but it just didn't feel right yet. And you trusted me and you would have went home the next time if you hadn't trusted me and Stephen. And we told you that we would split votes if we would have had to and draw rocks. And we convinced Joe and Sydney to go with us. From that move on, we made every move right. I was worried that we should have sent Debbie instead of Sierra but Debbie got so scrambly . . . Taj: She was a scrable-holic! JT: I was worried she [Debbie] was going to get Erinn and Erinn wouldn't vote for her or that you wouldn't vote for her. Taj: I just kept working on Erinn. I was like she hates you, she hates you. JT: She did! Taj: She did! I know! JT: She was telling Erinn she wanted them to be in the finals which was throwing all of us under the bus. Taj: I know. JT: And that last vote was a masterpiece. You know that. JT: [mumbling] to turn Coach and Debbie . . . . Taj: [mumbling and agreeing]. JT: I almost kept Sierra here but then those two [Coach and Sierra] would have chatted. Taj: The little differences.

Posts: 173 (05/15/09 4:14 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	Stephen explains the difficulties of lying to Coach I really like Coach. He's a really cool guy. He's very sincere. You know, he's got his foibles but so do we all. So it was hard for me to sort of lie to him and say I'm keeping you around but I'm actually voting him out tonight. And I do feel bad about that. You know, in this game there's definitely some painful moves that we make in terms of betraying people who we really like. There's no real way around it to get the end without doing that. I think Coach is a perfect example of that. He's not been willing to betray anyone and as a result everyone is eager to take him out. He's in a position where all of his allies have basically turned on him because he's playing such a straightforward game that he doesn't have any secret moves up his sleeve. He's also here on Day 36. It's not like I'm taking Coach out Day 1 or Day 3. Ultimately it's a game. I'm not ruining Coach's life. I'm playing a game against him.

This is at the time Coach is on Exile and JT/Stephen are on their man-date. Taj: I just don't trust Coach. I don't trust him. I don't trust him carrying water up a bridge, across a bridge. I just don't trust him. Erinn: He seems like a sneaky shady guy. It's all gonna come out in the wash somehow. He's gotten creepy and hit on everyone out here. Taj: And all his frikkin excuses. Do the noble thing and admit you suck. [Taj has the best lines about Coach behind his back!] Zoom out and Taj's chair breaks and she crashes into the ground. Taj starts laughing immediately. Erinn finishes drinking from her water canteen and then starts laughing with Taj. You can hear the cameramen whispering too. Erinn: That was funny! Taj gets up. Erinn: Are you okay? Taj: Yes! Taj puts her chair back together. Taj and Erinn joke about it. Erinn: We were just hanging out . . . . Taj: Shooting the breeze, without the boys, on my butt. Taj gets back in her chair. Taj: Okay I'm back. I'm cool.

Posts: 175 (05/15/09 4:37 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	JT explains the cowardly behavior exhibited by Coach when he begged not to be sent to Exile Island Well I still did not want to talk about Exile. As did everyone at camp about who to send to Exile. Coach, the adventurous guy he is, has been really scared to go to Exile. It's like his worst fear. He's even put up Debbie and Erinn to go instead of himself in the past. And Coach has been coming to me before the reward and he's like "Please take me on the reward. Please send Erinn or Taj to Exile. Don't send me." And it's just he's begging me so much and everybody else was going to send Coach no doubt. And I told Coach I didn't know what I was going to do. I mean, I knew I had to send Coach to Exile. And especially if we want to go ahead and send him home next. He's going to be weak for the challenge. And it's really time he lived up to some of his expectations around here. He does nothing around camp so let's see if he does anything on his own.

Posts: 176 (05/15/09 5:08 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	Coach reveals that he once was terminally ill with a brain tumor as JT and Stephen listen in disbelief [Coach, JT, and Stephen sitting around the fishing hole.] Coach: If I let my mind take over and think I'm weak, my whole body is going to fall apart man. I'm not kidding you dude. JT: You gotta stay strong. Coach: I'm not kidding you man. You know I had a brain tumor 2 years ago. JT: Geez. Coach: And they gave me 6 weeks to live. 6 weeks I couldn't get out of bed, I couldn't work out and I was in bad shape. JT: [eyes bug out of his head as he looks at camera]. Stephen: [plays with stick and looks at ground]. Coach: Doctor said there was nothing we could do about it. It was right back here [points to spot in the back of his head behind his ear]. It was about that big [makes a circle with his fist about the size of a large walnut]. Coach [confessional]: I talked to JT and Stephen. I just wanted to tell them I've been through everything. This body has had more than it take. But I just talked to them because 2 years ago it came as quite a shock. I had a MRI and then went through further testing and went through hell and back. And the doctor said I had 6 weeks to live. Coach [back with JT and Stephen]: I started thinking more positive. I started mediating. I starting picturing my body healing itself. I started picturing, I know this sounds crazy, I starting picturing my white blood cells starting to grow and picturing them go and attacking that one spot. And the last time they detected it, it was the size of my pinkie and they said you have a little while left in you. Coach [confessional]: I wanted to share with them, in your weakest place, if you think of strong thoughts and tell yourself you're invincible, tell yourself you're the man, you can do just about anything that you put your mind to. You know, I'm still here. Coach [back with JT and Stephen]: I don't know. I could go to any checkup and they could say that I'm toast. Stay positive and use that mind over matter, it's like, I lost it there for a little bit. And when I lost it those few weeks, it was brutal. I couldn't do anything. Anyways, that's a stupid side note. JT [confessional]: Coach told Stephen and myself that he had a brain tumor and I'm not really sure. It doesn't really sound legitimate to me. But as far as I know, it could be true. Some of the things he says and some of the stories, his adventures, all of it, it just seems like a book he's read or maybe he's trapped in a medieval experience, I'm not sure. And you know, he's just very different. Coach may be a little delusional. I worry about Coach sometimes.

Interesting that she is completely counting Erinn as a Jalapao. Interesting also such a gender gap on opinions of Ben (although I don't seriously believe he hit on Taj, cause she would squash him). Stephen personally seems to be on the "he's sincere, he's maybe a little deluded but harmless" side of the gap. Does he recognize that the women have had a different experience? Right now, the jury is three male, two female.
