I don't think they pimped Blake to the extent they did Gokey (I'll give you that Melinda got as much praise as Adam has). But they did overlook
Jordin's marketability possibilities in favor of the other two, as they have with Kris.

I generally do agree with the message here, as much as I love the two boys (though Adam a bit more) I gotta see Kris taking it home at this point.
Why? Because of all of the votes against Adam. The bible thumpers, the Dannytards, the people who just don't like his voice - all of 'em going to Kris. But in essence they really aren't a vote for Kris, and I see them both having the same amount of fans. Because Dannytards vote for Kris out of spite, that doesn't mean they will go see Kris in concert, buy his cds, etc etc. Both will be successful afterwards but I see it going to Kris. |

I don't think the "gay thing" is hurting Adam very much. If Dial Idol's GeoPredictions are correct, Adam is doing extremely well in the
South/Bible Belt and the Midwestern "red" states. Also, as for casual fans, I'm not sure they'll vote at all. I'd love to know the actual
numbers of viewers vs. people who actually vote. I'm a loyal viewer, but I rarely vote (this season being among the exceptions).

I think if Adam pleases the masses by toning it down, he will win. I like good screaming, I like metal and stuff, but it seems to turn off the average viewer.
"Mad World" was extremely popular. If he can contrast it (or something like it) with a rocker that's not too wild, I think he's got it in
the bag.
But I don't want him to tone it down. I want him to show his spectrum of styles. I'm already thrilled that we heard Zeppelin on Idol. He may as well go all out there just for fun. If that means he comes in second because it's not popular, that's okay. I like Kris too, and that he was so underpimped. And at least they both beat Grosskey. Really, the air is out of my balloon. I'm in it for the entertainment now. Bring it on. |

From some of the stuff I'm hearing, Gokey fans (I typed that without laughing) actually are more pissed about Kris making it, than Adam.
I don't know if Kris can win, but they did him a favor by calling him first last night. I think the Gokey fans are already pissed about Kris making it, but if it were just the 2 of them still standing there instead of Adam & Danny, it would have been even more magnified. I'm not sure many of Danny's fans will turn over to Kris now. I'm sure some will but overall I don't know if it will make enough of a difference. I think it will be close though. |

There may be a few bitter morons who vote for Adam because "Kris stole the spot that should have been Danny's". I'm guessing that
wouldn't be more than a handful.
Musically, Adam and Danny are polar opposites (like Ruben/Clay in S2). People who like the way Danny sings probably don't like the way Adam sings. Because of this and because of the rivalry that has built up over the last 3-4 months, Adam is more of "the enemy". Kris is more of an afterthought whom most of them probably don't hate. I think that those Danny fans who vote next week (and many of them probably won't vote) will vote overwhelmingly against Adam -- meaning for Kris. |

Not many will turn to Kris, you say, but I bet you even less will turn to Adam. The question here is whether Krissy has enough troops to take down Madam's Chi-Chi. Which I doubt, honestly. Kris winning, however, will face a media backlash the way Taylor winning caused a backlash... especially when the one who was supposed to win, Chris, embarrassed him in sales. If Kris wins, he'd better hope that Adam never outsold him. |

I saw that too Seaguy, some of the the Gokey fans (frankly I don't know who the rest even are) thought that a Gokey/Adam final was in the bag and
that Kris stole Gokey's spot.
 They also thought
that Gokey would have kicked Adam's ass in the final.
