Basically someone was bored and is claiming the actual results can be figured out on where the contestants are seated during result shows. There are patterns, too. Quoting what he says (because I can't explain this shit well)
A lot of people are probably going to think I'm crazy, but I think I may have figured out the order the contestants placed in the voting results each week since the finals began. Some here will remember that I posted another thread talking about how I noticed some patterns in the cold openings and performance recaps that seemed to suggest which contestants were near the top, near the middle, and at the bottom of the voting list. Since then, I've looked into the seating arrangements of the contestants on the couches during the results and there too is a pattern there. Putting all that info together, I've been able to figure out exactly where the contestants placed in the voting. He also says the description of the theory is too long, and gives you a link to download his full discription.
The theory works on the assumption that the producers actually know the voting results, and based upon those results (assuming that America's votes are counted), they have to 'script' a Results Show to air every Wednesday night. Consequently, the producers take the voting results and from that, have to develop the manner in which the results are given to the contestants and the rest of America (determining where the contestants sit).

He also made a chart of the "results": (last updated after Disco week)
He also makes a couple observations too, here are some I found interesting:
- All this season, everyone has talked about Kris, Matt, and Anoop having overlapping fanbases; however it appears that Kris and Allison's overlap the most. Notice how that the last two times Allison has been in the Bottom 3 (Top 9 and Top 7, Week 2), Kris has skyrocketed from the middle of the pack to the upper end of the voting list! If Kris continues to do well and get more votes, he could inadvertently cause Allison to get knocked out. As evidenced by their Bottom 3 appearances, Allison and Matt have the shakiest fanbases at the momentThe first one is really interesting because last week Kris was in danger and some of Allison's fans may have voted for him, leading to Allison getting voted off. The second one is pretty interesting too because no matter how good Kris does, the judges may fail to praise him Danny or Adam style and that might play a big role in his demise.
- Kris has steadily become more and more of a fan favorite each week; however he's always been in the upper end of the middle of the list. This is why despite great performances, the judges have never made him out to be a front-runner.
- I also just saw a commercial promoting this Tuesday's episode of American Idol and the announcing said something like "amazing performances" and showed footage of Adam, Kris, and Danny's performances. I don't remember what was shown for Adam and Danny, but Kris' was from 'Ain't No Sunshine', so it wasn't just from this past week. Also they showed the contestants with their names on the bottom and the order was: Kris, Matt, Danny, Allison, Adam. Seems like they still do the alternating pattern even in commercials: Kris, Matt, Danny, Allison, Adam. Apparently the Idol machine is trying to promote Kris, Adam, and Danny. This also makes sense based upon the Itunes sales we found out about this week.
Another thing is since Nigel left, the producers may be seating the contestants differently and could be to blame for this theory.
Go over to IDF and read the whole thing and tell me your thoughts. And no, I'm not the guy who posted the IDF post.
